Chapter 73: Life Goes On

                                    

                                          
Ten years. It had been ten years since Allura sacrificed herself to save everyone in every reality, and it still hurt. But despite all the sadness they had to go through there was still happiness. Maisey once lost everything, her sister and her mother and she felt so desperate that she tried to locate her sister in space, she lost her family but little did she know she'd find a family, a crazy yet loveable family that just kept getting bigger. Luri and Paul were already six years old and they were the best kids Maisey could've asked for. Romelle and Avrigg adopted two other children after their birth. They first adopted a Galran girl and named her Adamari Allura Egan, named after their best friends Adam and Allura and then a year later they adopted an Altean boy and they named him Bandor Vryss Egan. She still couldn't believe how fast time went, Cassie was already eight, Adamari was five and Bandor was four before they knew it they would be adults. 
She remembered her days as a paladin of voltron like it was yesterday, she was only seventeen when she became the White paladin of voltron. But they weren't the only kids in their voltron family, Shiro and Curtis actually got a surrogate and now they had a five year old daughter named Erity Shirogane, she was a very calm and wise child much like her biological father, Shiro. Hunk eventually married Shay and they have two sons, the oldest was already three and they named him Bellamy Garrett and their youngest was a year old who they named Kordian Garrett and Shay was currently pregnant with a girl. Matt and N-7 also got a surrogate and have a five year old son named Adam Holt and a four year old daughter named Allie Holt. And so their family was extremely big and she loved it. She smiled warmly as she was packing their luggage since they were about to go to Altea for Allura's day like they did every year.
"Dad! Luri's cheating again!" She could hear Paul say from outside, Maisey looked out of the window to see Keith, Luri, Paul and Kosmo playing outside in the forest. Paul was a tall boy who pretty much had Maisey's personality, he was very studious and already determined to reach his goals at such a young age. Paul mainly 'pulled a Maisey' at school as Keith would call it, which means having his homework checked before it's due, Paul was a clever and very sweet boy and Luri was exactly the opposite. Luri had her fathers temper and always needed things to go her way she was very straight forward and hotheaded. She got in a lot of trouble at school.
"It's time," Maisey called outside as she opened the window. Keith looked up to his wife and smiled.
"Let's go kiddo's," Keith laughed as he picked the twins up in a bear hug and carried them back to the house over his shoulders. Kosmo ran after them giving them both little kisses on their noses, Maisey chuckled softly. She was so lucky to have such a beautiful family.
"Special delivery!" Keith laughed as Maisey opened the front door.
"Ahh, this is not what I ordered, you should come back another time," Maisey joked, Keith stepped inside and leaned down to kiss her.
"Ew dad, stop kissing mom," Luri said as she looked over her shoulder.
"Yeah it's quiznaking gross," Paul said and Keith put them both down as they turned to their son.
"Who taught you that word sweetie?" Maisey asked as she leaned down to face her son.
"Uncle Lance," Paul said confused, of course Paul had no idea it was a bad word. Maisey and Keith glanced at each other before diverting their attention back to Paul.
"When.. did he teach you that word?" Keith asked him with his arms folded going all 'serious dad' on him.
"He didn't really teach us," Luri explained when Paul didn't speak, "he shouted it when he burned his mouth eating pizza and he just shouted 'that is quiznaking hot' in that weekend before Thanksgiving."
"Is it a bad word?" Paul asked a little scared. Paul was pretty much the good kid, he didn't like doing anything wrong and in his way everything needed to go right. Luri was a risk taker, she liked pushing people's buttons and wasn't afraid.
"Yes, it's a bad word, I don't want you two to say it again," Maisey said as she quirked her eyebrows up, "understood?"
"Yes, mommy," they both said in unison as they looked at her with guilty eyes and cute smiles.
"Let's pick uncle Lance up, shall we?" Maisey asked and they nodded their heads rapidly.
"Yeah, I feel like uncle Lance and I need to have a conversation," Keith said stern and Maisey smiled. She loved it when he went all 'super dad'.
"Ohh uncle Lance is in trouble," Paul laughed as they ran outside again.
