I started to run, and to be honest. After the night I had, it felt amazing to run. I felt like I was letting go of so many memories I didn't want to remember. I reached the trees that block me from running further and looked towards the ocean. I started to walk towards the ocean until I tripped over something in the sand. I looked over to see what it was. There was a rock sticking out of the sand that said push on it. I reached my hand out and pushed the button. I looked at the ocean as the water started to swirl downwards like a toilet being flushed. A tunnel started to appear and I started to walk towards it. I stepped into the tunnel and started to look around. It was like walking through an underwater aquarium. I could see the fish swimming around me, and sharks looking for food. I wonder if Shane had done all of this last night. The tunnel closed behind me and the water rose up again.
"It's a hidden tunnel. Nice Shane!" I said to myself.
I started to run towards the island. It was nice to get there without having to get wet. I came to a big gate that had a scanner on the side of it.
"Please scan hand." The scanner said.
I put my hand up to the scanner. It felt warm as it ran up and down reading my prints.
"Access granted." The scanner said.
The gate started to open. I started to walk into the room. In front of me was a staircase that went upwards. I started to climb up them. I could hear falling water the higher I got. This staircase must lead to the waterfall. I started to climb up the stairs faster.
When I reached the top I saw Dean and Shane. They were sitting on a couch that they had put in the cave. I looked around. There was a big computer screen and little computer screens, a T.V., two couches and a kitchen to eat in. It was perfect. I looked over at Shane and Dean who were staring at me.
"So, what do you think Astra?" Shane asked.
"It's perfect!" I told him with the biggest smile on my face.
Then I looked at the waterfall. It was still really loud.
"Did you figure a way to make it less noisy in here?" I asked.
"Glad you asked Astra." Shane said while walking over to a button that was on the side of the cave. "All you need to do is push this button and you will have your peace and quiet." He said as he pushed it.
I looked at the waterfall as a wall that looked like thick glass started to come up from under the ground. It covered the entire opening. And we were still able to see the waterfall.
"This is a force field. It not only blocks out sound, but it keeps enemies out. No matter how hard they try to break the shield it won't budge."
"It's brilliant Shane!" I responded.
"So, what's in the bag Astra?" Dean asked as he got up from the couch.
I pulled the bag off of my back and placed it on the table next to me. I pulled out my mask and spandex. Dean's eyes got big. I think it finally hit him what I was planning to do.
"Astra, listen. I know you must be really angry about what the captain did to Dillan, but we can't fight him." He said.
"Dean, we are just like him. We have the same powers. I'm going to fight him with or without you. So you just let me know if you are with me." I said as I raised my voice at him.
Shane walked over and grabbed my mask.
"Navy and Gold. Those are really good colors Astra. What made you decide to pick those?" he asked.
