"He's inside." Meredith nodded her head towards the room. Allison nodded as they patiently waited.

"Here we go. He's giving them the speech." Jackson sighed leaning his back to the window crossing his arms across his chest.

"What speech?" Meredith asked.

"About the wonders of medicine. About how as surgeons, you know, we're meant to push boundaries and do what no one has ever done." Jackson explained.

"Sounds motivating."

"It's cheesy is what it is and you hear it enough times at your grandparents dinner table, you can't help but want to be a surgeon when you grow up."

"You had a dinner table?" Meredith asked. Allison chuckled lightly knowing Meredith didn't have a good relationship with her mother. "I didn't know world class surgeons had dinner tables. I feel gypped."

"Well, that's cause you haven't heard the speech yet." Jackson turned back around to face his grandfather who was talking to Webber and Derek.

Webber and Derek left the room, as soon as she saw Derek leave she walked up to the former chief, "You paged?" She asked as she puts her hands inside her lab coat.

"Yes, you're scrubbing in with me on Harper Avery's surgery."

Allison looked back inside the room and then at Jackson and Meredith, "Sir, I-I don't think that's a good idea." Allison declined, "You should ask Meredith."

Richard brows furrowed in confusion, "Residents would be honored to operate on Harper Avery."

"Not me." Allison shrugged, "I'm sorry, if you'll just excuse me." Allison didn't wait for an answer she just walked away from him. Jackson furrowed his brows on why she didn't want to scrub in on the surgery, from what he knew his grandfather got along with her.

"I don't get it. Why does he get to scrub in on his own grandfather's surgery." Lexie asked as she looked down into the O.R. from the gallery.

"The same reason why Harper Avery personally requested Meredith Grey to be his resident." Cristina answered from behind her, which wasn't a lie but Webber wanted Allison to scrub in since she was under his service.

"Nepotism sucks." Alex commented. "Hey, you uh wanna go grab a bite." Alex leaned in and whispered to Lexie, as the two other residents observed them.

"No." Lexie chuckled before darting her eyes towards the girls behind her, "Actually I am..." She cleared her throat, "full."

"Really?" Alex continued, not buying her excuse, "Cause you didn't seem full last night."

Lexie nervously chuckled, "I said no. Okay, I-I am not hungry at all." Cristina cleared her throat. "So just go eat alone."

Alex leaned back in his chair as Charles made his way inside the gallery looking for an empty seat. "Excuse me. Sorry."

Cristina glared at Charles, who was standing in front of her not sitting down, "Hey, down in front, bigfoot."

"Oh." Charles brought his head down as he smiled sarcastically, "It's bigfoot now." Charles sat down, "Well you know what they say about guys with big feet."

Allison rolled her eyes as she looked back down at the surgery. Cristina asked Charles about her daredevil before rushing out of the room.

"Look it's not going to happen, all right?" Jackson said as he walked inside the resident lounge with a bunch of doctors trailing behind him. Allison looked up from her charts.
