Keira sat there uncomfortably, Kara's gaze never leaving her face. They heard a sudden crack burst through the air as Kara's smile twitched a little. Concerned, Keira backed away to the projection screen only to see that Aiden was completely cleansed of her darkness, purified by the sun's rays of fire.

She witnessed the Potatoes spill their secrets making them stronger. For a second, she hesitated. Keira thought about what she was truely doing. She wanted to stop. She wanted to be freed from the clutches of anger and hatred. She couldn't, not now, not anymore. The toxic whispering of her soul, no longer pure of the dark, brought her back to the clutches she was bound to.

Kara watched concerned, and Keira fell to the ground, half of her face, swallowed up by the shadows.

"Come on Keira! You can do it! Break free!" Kara cried, desperation present in her voice.

She couldn't break free. Her soul was too dark to purify, and Kara wept, unable to help her friend. Kara watched, silent tears streaming down her face, as all the jewels broke free from their prison. She could almost hear them saying, Someone, ANYONE, lets go! The enemy is down! The treacherous Keira is weak!

No! She wanted to shout. Don't go! Keira just needs a friend! And I wasn't there to help. Maybe one of you could-

She stopped herself. She knew no one was going to help Keira. They didn't know the truth. Her eyes were suddenly attracted to a slightly cracked orb, containing the lightning earrings.

Aru doesn't have much time left. The orb started to crack.

She dragged herself to the window, hugging Penelope, a large shark plush toy, who was always there for them, as a cuddle buddy for when they didn't know what to do. Kara stared out the window, almost jumping 10 feet when she saw a body ripping through the air. However, that wasn't just any body, that was Arundhati Shah.

Kara dragged herself away from the window, gasping at what she just witnessed. She grabbed a first aid kit and a blanket, threw it in a bag, and ran out the door of Keira's lair, ignoring Keira's questions about what was going on.

Kara ran like the wind, trying to reach the edge of the mountain to check if Aru was okay. It was worth a shot, even though a fall like that would have definitely killed someone upon impact with the ground.

Aru P.O.V (first person)

The pain was agonizing. At first, I was in too much shock to feel anything, but then, all at once, the pain shot through my body, and let out a blood curdling scream. It felt as if my flesh was being seared off my body with dancing flames. I screamed, and writhed as the pain tormented me. I wanted to take my blade and stop the torture then and there. I wanted to put myself out of my misery.

I never got the chance to. I stopped screaming, but the pain never died down. Scalding tears steamed my bruised face, but no more sound came out bleeding lips. I lay there motionless, knowing that I probably broke a bone or two, or three, or all 206. MINI WHY DID YOU HAVE TO DRILL THAT FACT INTO ME?!

I'd already gotten accustomed to pain. It felt like second nature to me. Maybe-Maybe it was time for me to go. I wanted to close my eyes, let my blood flow out, and go back to Amaravati as a spirit, but of course THIS UNIVERSE DECIDED TO MAKE MY DEATH DRAMATIC TOO!

I slowly began closing my eyes, deciding NOT to give the universe any satisfaction for making me suffer. Then, I felt a warm embrace coat my body. I smiled upon hearing a sweet voice, "Aru? Are you okay?"

I coughed and laughed hoarsley, "Am I ever?"

Then I fell into the realm of unconsciousness.
