Ch.25

                                    

                                          
	Aru's bare and cold face was pelted with small flakes of dirty snow . She made it out of the forest, and was now climbing up a ginormous mountain. Her legs were exhausted and she felt like a mess, which...she was. Both mentally and physically. 
                          
Her hair was a rat's nest and may have even had bird poop on it. Her eyes had bags under them. Her clothes were tattered and she had the strange feeling that someone was following her, and talking about her repeatedly. At times, she just couldn't stop sneezing. Could have been allergies but she was sure she didn't have any. 
                          
She was horribly fatigued, but wouldn't stop until she got her answers. 
                          
She soon realized she could have just used Vajra to get to the top, instead of wasting the precious energy her body had left. She unbuckled the rope, from the harness she had in her bag of supplies and leapt off the small edge of the mountain. 
                          
	She wasn't afraid. She felt free, and she knew that Vajra would help launch her upwards. Unfortunately, Vajra didn't have enough experience with Aru to be at full power, so Aru had to work fast and use her earrings to power it up. Vajra was slowing the fall as a hoverboard but not by much. She needed the power of her Jewel NOW.  She felt her earlobes, and cried out in surprise when she realized that they were gone. 
                          
	She was plummeting down the edge of the mountain with more acceleration as she gained more velocity. Vajra, not being able to handle the pressure, turned into a ping pong ball as it flew back to her pocket. The world spun in circles, and eventually went black as Aru's head hit the side of a rock. 
                          
Aru's final thoughts were those kind words that she should have said to her friends and family before this happened. 
                          
		'I'm sorry... ' She thought, 'I'm so, so sorry.'
                          
				 Then, she hit the ground.
