I'm not sure who I'm looking for, but somehow my eyes keep going to the VIP guest box. I have been doing this in every charity race I've ever attended. But I never find what I want to find there.
                          
The VIP guest box is filled with new age youngsters who wants to bet on some bike racing. There were some old men too who are just obsessed on betting and wasting their money on some stupid race they know nothing about. There are a very few that actually know to spend on a charity and even fewer who know anything about the race they're spending on. So as a whole the VIP guest box has different types of people that are going to watch the match and pay a good amount. Let's make a good show for them, then!
                          
I avert my eyes from the VIP guest box to find HaoXuan looking at me with an weird expression on his face.
                          
"What?" Well I talk less and just one word does the deal for me with my friends!
                          
"Who do you try to find? Every charity race you look for someone. But you never do that in any competition. Why?"
                          
"I don't know what you're talking about." I just left from there. I look at him from the corner of my eyes only to find him sending Tracy to the track with some stuff while still looking at me. Well I don't know how to answer him. I've always done that but even I don't know the reason and don't know what I look for on there.
                          
One of my men helped me with my racing jacket and I move to the track. Every race, it's a winding game of stairs and tunnels to reach the actual track for the racers. I walked through the way with my helper and two race stuffs who are blabbering nonstop instructing me with dos and don'ts on the racetrack. I know it's just their duty to go through all of this. But still I find it annoying. I just tune them out in my mind.
                          
I reach the entrance of the track and get my helmet from my helper. Tracy was just there ready for a raging race.
                          
I mount on my bike and move to the starting point. There were about eight racers all ready, aiming for the big trophy shown at the announcer box.
                          
I find Shen YuanZhong, Wang YiXuan and Andrew at the starting point ready with their bikes. We did an air fist bump. Well because outside of the race we're actually friends. Andrew was also one of my team mates in highschool. We used to play basketball together in school. Then he gave up on it and started doing racing.
                          
I know he has his own story which he never tells. But he's a good racer too. Looks like I have to up my game today. On the other end of the line of racers there was He Peng throwing daggers at me with his gaze. He's always been stinky and annoying. He has this unknown issue with me in the racetrack. Always pulling dirty tricks on the track and getting away with it. I have to be careful.
                          
I move my gaze away from him to the spectators stand where all of my gang were waiting to watch the race. HaoXuan was there too with JiYang in his arms. These two always sticking together like glue! Zoey shows me a thumbs up and Xian and A-Jing playfully shows me finger hearts. Childish!
                          
I concentrate on the track and the announcer now. It's a thirty minutes time limit track with 100 Kms to cover. The winding road of the track will give us the opportunity to use eleven turns and I have some of my own tricks up my sleeve. When the warning announcement was done I looked once at He Peng to see him looking at another racer. Don't you play a dirty trick today. I thought in my mind.
                          
The gun fires to mark the start of the race and the audience became wild. I heard some of them shout my name but I don't concentrate on it. I try to concentrate on the track and my bike.

The first fifteen minutes I keep a steady pace to get a grip on the track. I don't know why but the track seems a bit slippery today.
                          
In the first fifteen minutes, Andrew keeps a good distance with me. YiXuan goes on the first position and Andrew on the second, with me in the third position. For the next fifteen minutes lap I pick up some speed. I knew I can't go too much high on the speed because of the slippery track. So I can't lower my speed much while turning. I kept at the side of the lane too.
                          
After completing the ninth turn I moved to the second position with Andrew at the first position and surprisingly find He Peng by my side.
                          
If my previous races are any indication, this is when I have to be the most careful to not fall in He Peng's dirty traps. I picked up on my speed and made the stupidest mistake of my racing history. He Peng suddenly came right by my side and on the tenth turn he goes over to me and comes right in front of me. I couldn't control my bike and skid right into the gravelled part of the side of the track. I could feel my hand scratch over the racing gloves I was wearing. But I didn't mind it and immediately pull myself together.
                          
I cover the eleventh turn which is closer to the tenth turn and go over the gravelled side track and took up onto the track fast.
                          
Now Andrew was in the first position, He Peng second, and Wang YiXuan third. I didn't know why but I wanted to take a risk and immediately picked up a really high speed. There was only five minutes left. And to be on the first position I have to take four minutes to end the race. And I speed past Wang YiXuan and then He Peng and then Andrew and when it was already the ending point I couldn't control my bike anymore and go straight ahead and skid and overturn on the side of the track about hundreds meters ahead of the ending line.
                          
I knew I wasn't unscathed. I tried to stand up but I can't even carry my head anymore. The last thing I saw is HaoXuan running to me and just behind him was my father and Kuan-ge making their way towards me.
                          
And the last thing I heard was the announcer announcing the winner.
                          
"And the winner is........"

So that's the chapter... Well I apologize because I know nothing about how a bike race works... I only know how street race works... So please forgive me if there's any mistake....
