NOTHING GOOD EVER HAPPENS IN A BASEMENT. And Juliette Fosters knew that very well, which is why she despised basements for quite brazen reasons. Beacon Hills High School's basement was no exception, especially not when her senses have been dialled down drastically. "Where's the entrance?" Scott asked as they examined the shelves in search of a door behind it.

"Found it!" Stiles and Scott both pushed the shelf aside, facing the wall with the Hale symbol and a circular engrave that played its part as a door knob of a sort. "It's like the entrance outside, it only opens with claws. Anyones claws, right?"

The pack, excluding Malia, all exchanged knowing glances. They knew only a Hale's claws would lead them into the vault, but since Malia wasn't aware of her heritage yet, they'd have to get her into opening the vault door without her knowing that it could only be opened by a Hale. "Malia! Can you try?"

    "Why me?"

    "I don't have control."

Malia nodded. "Okay, i'll do it." She agreed. "But first tell me what you've been hiding from me." An impatient groan escaped Juliette, hoping this wasn't the part where Malia finds out about her father. "I know you think you're trying to protect me, but I can handle it. I know i'm on the list! So how much?"

    "Four million." Juliette recalled.

"That's great!" Malia exclaimed. "Scott's worth twenty five, Kira's six. They'll take you guys out way before they do me and Juliette."

And with that, she stepped to dig her claws into the wall, turning it until it opened to reveal the vault. They all stepped in, the door closing behind them. Juliette recalled the first time she's stepped foot into the vault, only two weeks back, when the Hale's were robbed of their one hundred and seventeen million dollars in their safe, the money they later connected to be stolen by the Benefactor and used to pay the assassins. What Juliette never understood was how the Benefactor could've possibly known about the vault and the money, but never quite reached a conclusion when she laid out her theories. The only thing her and Stiles could come up with was Peter being the benefactor, because he wasn't on the list either, but the robbery ruled out their theory.

For twenty minutes or so, Juliette roamed around the vault and traced her hands through the shelves and shelves of artefacts that collected dust. When she reached the safe, where the money was hidden in, she froze. "This is w-where it started."

The pack, all in different corners of the room, faced her. Stiles took notice to her long pause, and carried on for her, with the assumption that she was struggling to speak without a stammer. "The safe, that's where the money was. A hundred and seventeen million in bearer bonds."
