Kevin glanced over the boy, trying to figure out what he was supposed to be doing. Jacob had sat right next to him, right after he'd said he was tired...

Oh, he wants me to do this, Kevin thought, scooting up next to the elder.
He carefully leaned his head on Jacob's shoulder, getting comfortable that way.

Jacob calmly wrapped an arm around Kevin's back, as if to keep him secure while he rested. Kevin fought back a stupid smile at this.

"Can I take out your ponytail...? It's kinda getting in my face," Jacob said quietly, a hint of amusement in his tone.

Kevin giggled at this, giving a nod. "Do whatever you want," he said, closing his eyes.

The feeling of Jacob taking out the scrunchie and brushing his bangs back down was quite nice. Kevin loved it when his girlfriends would play with his hair, and this...

Felt the same for some reason?

"Jacob," he whispered, grabbing the elder's attention as he finished fixing his hair.

"...Keep doing that," he said timidly. God, he was acting so strange right now.

A small pause came before Jacob did as told. He cautiously worked his fingers into the back of Kevin's hair, giving him a small scrunch just to test it.

"What are you, a kitten?" Jacob murmured as he twirled a lock of Kevin's hair.

"Mhm," Kevin hummed, not in the mood to disagree with him.

A few minutes passed by, with Kevin happily resting. He hadn't exactly fallen asleep, although it may have looked like it.

"Hey, Minnie?" he heard Jacob call out quietly, as if trying to get someone's attention.

Kevin peeked an eye open as to see what was going on. The girl who had entered the room earlier turned around, looking over at Jacob.

"Yeah?" she called back. Jacob beckoned her to come over, and the girl carefully set down her brushes and did so. Kevin closed his eyes again as she approached on instinct.

"Can you bring something to Yuqi? I was supposed to give it to her today, but..." Jacob's voice trailed off.

"Sure. Staying here?" her kind voice replied.

"Yeah," he laughed quietly, digging something out of his bag. "Probably will be for a while."

"That's him, right? He's cute," the girl said, giving a little laugh as she spoke in her hushed tone.

"Right? Normally guys this cute are total assholes, but..." Jacob paused, absentmindedly stroking Kevin's hair. "He's really sweet, Minnie."

Minnie let out a tiny laugh, but stopped as if realizing something. "How have the other guys been treating him?"

Kevin felt Jacob give a small shrug. "He hasn't said anything. Seems like nothing's happened."

"They probably don't know. Younghoon told me he saw you two here, but I said I'd kill him if he told anyone else."

"Thanks hun," Jacob snickered at the thought. "What do I owe you for it?"

"Buy me boba. Milk tea, extra sugar," the girl said, her tone mischievous.

"Fine. I'll have it delivered to your house or something," Jacob complied. "Now go, Yuqi needs you."

"Alright, I see how it is," she laughed, her footsteps disappearing in the direction of her backpack.

"I'll go give it to her. Bye Je," she spoke pleasantly, followed by the sound of her grabbing her stuff and scurrying out of the room.

The door shut softly, leaving the room empty. Kevin thought over everything he'd just heard, still pretending to be asleep.
