colbys point of view
"how did we end up here?" ashton giggled, turning her head to look at me.
"i don't know... but i'm happy that we did." i grinned. "are you cold?" i asked, noticing she was just wearing a tank top and jeans.
"i'm alright." she smiled, right before i saw her shiver, making me laugh.
"yeah? you seem fine." i laughed, taking my jacket off and setting it over her shoulders.
"thanks." she laughed, admiring the view from the bridge we were sitting on. our legs were dangling over the side of the bridge, staring at the water below us. "it's so beautiful here."
i looked over at her to see that she still had a huge grin on her face, her dimples poking out as she stared at the water. she looked adorable.
"it really makes you appreciate the little things in life, ya know?" she asked, leaning onto my shoulder.
"it's peaceful." i nodded, putting my arm around her shoulder in a comforting manner, kissing her temple... it was in that moment that i realized i fucked up. her eyes got wide and she turned to look at me.
"thank you for helping me through all of this elton shit, co." she said, thankfully not mentioning that fact that i just kissed her.
"it's no problem, ashton." i told her.
"how'd you know i was seeing elton?" she asked me, looking back out at the water.
"i saw him go into your room on pizza night... that was actually chipotle night." i laughed. "and the fact that he was inviting you to go places alone with him all of the time."
"so we weren't that sneaky?" she laughed.
"not at all." i smiled. "we all knew."
"to be honest, now that it's all over, i dont really think i liked elton much... i think i just wanted a rebound from nathan." she admitted to me.
"yeah, clearly elton is a piece of shit." i laughed.

"what the fuck are you doing here?" i whisper yelled elton when he walked into my apartment after i opened it.
"i came to talk to you." he said.
"you're so lucky none of the boys answered the door." i said, shaking me head and shoving him into my room before any of the boys saw. "why are you here?" i asked him, pulling him into my bedroom
"because i needed to talk to you about what happened." he shrugged.
"what happened? you locked me in a dark room and listened to me have a panic attack for 5 minutes, filmed it and then laughed about it. theres not much to talk about." i huffed, sitting down on the bed.
"ashton, i'm sorry." he admitted. "i didn't realize it was that bad... it was just a dark room. it's not the end of the world." he said.
"maybe not to you, elton. i'm scared to death of the dark and i told you that." i rolled my eyes.
"ashton, i'm sorry." he said.
"okay. thanks." i shrugged. "now, leave."
"ashton you're being so difficult. it's not that deep."
"get out!" i demanded.
"so we're not gonna talk about the fact that you were sleeping with colby the same night we broke up?" he questioned.
"he held me while i cried over what you did, asshole." i told him.
"well clearly you have no problem getting in bed with guys... i should've known." he scoffed.
"are you actually slut shaming me?" i scoffed back. "you need to leave."
"i'm not leaving until we finish talking about this!" he demanded.
"elton, leave." i said again, getting off of my bed to open the door so he'd get out.
"ashton." he said, grabbing my arm roughly and pulling me back so hard that i fell onto the bed. he let go of my wrist, angrily staring at me.
"colby! come here." i yelled. he was the only one of the guys that i knew was awake.
"ashton, stop. i didn't mean to get that agressive."
"what's up ashton?" colby started asking as he opened my bedroom door. "what the fuck are you doing in here?" co asked elton, glaring at him.
"he needs to leave." i told colby, shooting him a 'send help' look.
"so, are you gonna leave yourself, or do i need to walk you out?" colby asked as i stood up from my bed. colby grabbed my hand, gently pulling me behind him, acting as a barrier between elton and i.
"fine, i'm going. i'll see you around." elton said, walking out of my room.
"are you okay?" colby asked me once he was gone.
"yeah... he just wouldn't leave. he was slut shaming me." i said, laughing it off.
"i'm sorry, ash. you don't deserve this shit." colby shook his head... i could see he wanted to murder elton for saying shit like that to me but he didn't want to scare me.
"i'm okay now." i smiled.
-
"colby?" i asked, opening his door slightly. it was 4am and i was completely unable to sleep. "colby?" i said again, making my way over to his bed in the dark, a little bit of light coming from the muted tv.
"hmm?" he mumbled.
"i can't sleep." i pouted as he opened his eyes.
"do you wanna lay in here?" he asked me.
"please?" i said. he scooted over and made room for me on the side of the bed closest to the door.
"are you alright?" he asked as i laid down in his bed, pulling the blankets up over me.
"yeah... i just can't sleep and i don't want to be alone." i admitted. i surely wasn't going to go sleep with jake or sam, seeing as they have girlfriends who i adore. as for corey, he always locks his bedroom door at night due to the prank wars.
colby scooted me closer to the middle of the bed then climbed over me so he was closer to the door.
"what're you doing?" i chuckled.
"i know you like the sleep on the inside of the bed." he shrugged.
"well thank you, kind sir." i grinned.
