"Who the fuck are you?" Quinn growls, baring his teeth at Tyler.
"I was about to be a very lucky man, before you interrupted," Tyler smirks.
He stands back and his posture tries to appear laid back as he tucks his hands into his front pockets, but I notice the tension lying behind his façade.
Before I can even blink Quinn lunges for Tyler, landing a punch straight to his face. Tyler's head snaps back and I scream.
"Quinn, what the fuck!? What are you doing? Stop this!" I run in front of him and put my hands on his chest.
Not my smartest moment, putting myself between two angry werewolves and one unknown red-eyed beast but I have to do something to stop this. The familiar star-filled eyes stare down at me. His breathing is heavy, and his fists are clenched at his side.
"It's okay, wolfy. Just breathe, okay?" I whisper and Quinn's eyes soften slightly.
"Come on, mate. Was that necessary? You just ruined a perfectly good shirt." Tyler reaches up and touches his nose as blood pours down his chin, effectively staining his white shirt.
"Tyler, are you okay? I'm so sorry." I say while my hands are still on Quinn's chest, holding him back. Xander's standing behind Quinn, the tension rolling off him in waves.
"I like it when you say my name, sweet stuff." Tyler winks at me, his eyes are back to reflecting a deep, forest green. Was I imagining the ruby red color I thought I saw? I'll have to ask about that later.
Before I can stop him, Xander growls, running past Quinn and me and lands a blow to the other side of Tyler's face. "You don't get to call her that, do you understand me? She's mine!" He roars in Tyler's face.
"And she's mine, so you can just fuck right off." Quinn seethes.
I'm completely taken aback. Xander has always been the calm and collected one, and to see him so coiled with anger and tension, surprises me, though I expect the hotheadedness from Quinn.
What surprises me more is how much it turns me on. I have to say I like it when they take charge. And to hear them put their claim on me, has my bikini bottoms soaking.
Their eyes snap to me and I can see their noses flare as they very obviously can scent me. Not now you crazy woman, I scold myself. I need to figure out how to diffuse the situation.
"I don't belong to anyone. I am my own person. Tyler, maybe it's best if you left and I can talk to these two neanderthal's alone." I frown. "I am so sorry."
Quinn and Xander both look like they are going to argue but I hold my hand up, stopping them before they can even start. I know they aren't happy that I said I don't belong to them, but we haven't even figured things out between us for them to start their claim on me.
Tyler runs his hand under his nose, wiping away the last bit of blood that stains his skin and gives me a sly grin.
"Of course, Miss Jones, I will see you soon." And in the blink of an eye, he's disappeared.
What the fuck, is he a werewolf too? How does he move so quickly? My head is beginning to spin, and the whiplash feeling has come back. I look up at the guys to see them both avoiding my eye contact.
Quinn is staring in the direction that Tyler disappeared to, while Xander has one hand tucked at the back of his neck as he stares down at his feet.
"You two want to explain what in the actual fuck just happened here?" I growl at them.
