On Friday, they decided to spend the afternoon together. Namjoon only had the night shift in the cafe and a class in the morning to worry about, so they thought it would be nice if they hung out for a little bit. He told Namjoon that he could leave whenever he felt like it.
Yoongi had cleaned his apartment for the first time in a while just for this occasion. The only guests he's had are his family or his music partner. They were used to seeing a mess. He wanted to give Namjoon another good impression.
Jungkook had come to visit Yoongi as he was cleaning. He helped out a bit before going over to the couch to play around on his phone. Yoongi started a few conversations for both of them so it wouldn't exactly be awkward, as the only time Yoongi ever sees him is when he's taking him back to his parent's place. They didn't ask him to, Jungkook did. Maybe he felt uncomfortable walking alone. With that in mind, Yoongi was happy that he had time to visit.
"Hyung. Someone knocked on the door."
"Oh. They did?" Yoongi asked while glancing at Jungkook then the door. "Okay. Thank you, Kook."
The younger nodded as he watched Yoongi answer the door. On the other side was Namjoon wearing a white shirt, black jacket, and jeans. He also had a black backpack wrapped around one of his shoulders and an umbrella in one of his hands.
"Hello, Yoongi hyung." He greeted. "The weather forecast said it would rain later today. Better to be safe than sorry."
Jungkook had some evidence to back that up. It was slightly cloudy when he got to the apartment. He remembers because he joked about it with Yoongi.
Yoongi gave him some space so he could walk in. "It's fine. This isn't a no-umbrellas-allowed apartment. Bring whatever."
Namjoon laughed and stepped inside. As he closed the door, Namjoon noticed Jungkook sitting on the couch and waved at him. He replied by giving him a little wave back.
"Do you plan for us to just relax, or...?" Namjoon asked as he placed his umbrella by the door.
"That's what I'm hoping for," Yoongi began, "But you brought your bag with you so I'm not really sure."
Namjoon slid the bag off his shoulder and placed it down next to his umbrella. "Yeah. I'm planning to work on some stuff later on since I have so much free time."
Jungkook made some room on the couch for them once he saw both of them walk over. When Yoongi sat down, both of them noticed Namjoon get slightly distracted by the black swan before leaning against the wall. Yoongi still made some space on the couch for him.
"Come on, Namjoon-ah," Yoongi called while signaling with his hand to come over. "There's still room for you to sit. Neither of us care."
Jungkook nodded to back up his claim. Namjoon's face slightly flushed before he took a seat at the empty spot on the couch.
"I'm curious," Yoongi started, only catching Namjoon's attention since Jungkook started to get busy playing a game. "What part of music are you interested in? Is it only production?"
He shook his head. "It's been kind of my dream to be a soloist. Maybe a rapper since I'm not the best at singing." He left that with a chuckle. "It would be cool to produce my own stuff. That's what I've wanted to do for a while. I got into composing in high school I think. That's one of the reasons why I chose literature."
Yoongi raised his eyebrows. For some reason, they were so alike in what they wanted to do as a career. He wasn't expecting that.
"How about you?" Namjoon asked. "You're the one taking music for a career, right?"
"Mmhm," Yoongi replied. "I've liked music since I was young, so I am hoping to be able to produce my own songs. Maybe be a rapper too, I don't know."
By then, Jungkook had plugged in his earbuds and began to play music. Just to give them some more privacy to talk. And so he could focus more on his game.
Namjoon nodded. "That's cool. Do your sisters go to college?"
"Yeah. Both of them do."
"Oh really?" Namjoon asked. "What are they taking?"
Yoongi looked down to his hands. "One's taking the same course as me and the other is taking music technology."
"You have a very musical family." Namjoon observed.
"Mhm."
"Are your parents okay with that?"
Yoongi felt the same guilt as Tuesday rush back to him. "Uh... yeah. They're fine with it."
Namjoon saw his expression change and placed his hand on his shoulder. "It's fine. Maybe I can take it next year. There's no reason to feel guilty. Besides, I'm an adult now. My parents can't control me anymore."
He blushed at the touch and pushed his hand away. "I guess."
Any future conversations were paused by a knock on the door.
The two looked at each other before Yoongi stood up and went to answer it. Jungkook was still busy with the game he was playing. Maybe the music was loud enough for him to not hear any outside noise. His gaze then went back over to the door.
When Yoongi opened it he was welcomed by a girl. Her dark brown hair was cut above her shoulders but below her chin. Her face was similar to a child and her shorter body was slim and pale. She looked quite cute and it's probably been said by everyone but them.
"Yoongi?"
