I felt like you lot might need a reminder of what Ciarán looks like so there you have it folkerinos
Also this chapter is going to be a short one because I CAN NOT FOR THE LIFE OF ME COME UP WITH ANYTHING
So I'm just going to speed through this thing and get to writing the wedding. That's what we all want anyway, right?
Today was the day of the hen do. John and I would be getting married tomorrow. It was 10 o'clock in the morning, and John had been told to come wait by the front door. His friends would be picking him up in just a few minutes.
"Do you remember the rules?" I asked him jokingly and placed a kiss on his cheek. He chuckled warmly and put his arms around my shoulders.
"No drugs, if presented with a stripper: tip well, don't let Roger talk you into anything too stupid and don't be so drunk that you'll miss the wedding tomorrow." He said and I smiled.
"Good. Just remember to have fun, alright? This is your last night as a free man. Enjoy it." I said to him.
"Don't say it like that, you're making marriage sound like a prison sentence. I can't wait to be married to you." He said and just as he was about to kiss me again, there was a knock on the door. John went to open it, but it flew open before he could reach it. Six men were standing outside of it, all wearing balaclavas. It wasn't hard to identify Brian though, his head was hovering twenty centimeters above everyone else's.
Before either of us could react, they but a pillowcase over John's head and snatched him off his feet. They began carrying him to a van in our front yard. "Don't worry, we'll return him to the wedding!" A voice shouted, and I recognised it belonged to our favourite bodyguard of the band, James.
"Have fun boys!" I shouted and waved as they put him in the van. Perhaps I should've been a little bit less nonchalant about my fiancé literally getting kidnapped in front of me...
Oh well.
I was nervous about what Lisa and Ciarán had planned for me. I didn't want a crazy party that starts with me getting kidnapped, not when I was pregnant. Had I not been pregnant, I would have been dissatisfied with anything less than the party of the century. But right now... all I really wanted was to relax and spend time with my friends. I wasn't far along, but I was growing more and more aware of my pregnancy. I didn't want to take any stupid risks.
I sat down on our couch in the living room. I glanced at one of the pictures of John and I we had displayed on the coffee table. It had been taken in Los Angeles a couple of months back. We were standing in front of the Whisky A Go-Go, both smiling ear to ear. Los Angeles had been amazing, it was everything I had hoped for and more. I finally understood why almost everyone dreamt of moving there, in hopes of becoming famous. It was on the faces of everyone there. You could see their hunger for recognition and stardom.
It already felt like the tour had been ages ago. I was already so used to living with John in our little home. If only every day could be like this for the rest of our lifes. But John had tapped into that fame and recognition so many desired. And that meant that he had to cater to the masses, he was the entertainer.
I am the entertainer
And I know just where I stand
Another serenader
And another long haired band
Today I am your champion
I may have won your hearts
But I know the game, you'll forget my name
And I won't be here in another year
If I don't stay on the chartsAnd just like Billy Joel sang the words, he had to stay in the game. And I knew that he loved his job, and I loved that he loved his job. It's just that the selfish part of me would have loved to keep him all for myself.
