Chapter Two:

I ran my hand through my curls. I would have to be observing Sam for a whole week. This isn’t supposed to happen. But she looked fine with the idea of working with me. What was I going to do?

“So your house tonight,” she asked as she was gathering her books up after the bell rang.

“Um… S-sure.” I cleared my throat. “That’s seems…fine.”

“I’ll be over later tonight.” She stood up and smiled at me before she walked out of the room with her friends laughing. I swear I heard someone say that they were sorry that she got stuck with me. It’s only something I hear every day.

“So,” Louis asked as we were hanging outside of his car. Niall was having a smoke. “How did it go?” He nudged me.

“I…I have to do a project with her.”

“Well there’s a start,” Niall said as he put out his smoke.

“I have to freaking observe her and she has to observe me. How is that a start?”

“She gets to know you more as you get to know more about her. Maybe she’ll like you too.”

I rolled my eyes. “I doubt it. And you guys have a tryout to go to.”

They groaned. “Is that really today?”

“It’s the deal we made. You have to keep your end up.”

“Fine,” Louis groaned as he kicked the dirt. “Are you staying for the tryout or are you walking home?”

“I guess I’ll walk home. Sam is coming over tonight.”

“Oooooo,” Niall and Louis joked at the same time.

“Bugger off you two.”

“Cheers mate,” Niall said as he stuffed his hands in his pockets.

“Text me if you get any tonight,” Louis said as he winked at me.

“Why are you guys even my friends?”

“Because you love us Hazzabear!” I shook my head and just started to walk home. Plugging my headphones in, I played my favorite playlist with some songs from the 1980s. There’s just something about old music that makes me like it so much better than what people are making these days. Of course I still listen to Bruno Mars and Rihanna but I prefer going back a couple years.

Making it into my room, I realized that no one was actually home yet. I thought that at least Gemma would be home but she’s probably at a friend’s house or something. She’s always one to stay out. I knew mum and Robin would still be at work till about 7 or 8 so I really didn’t mind. I just hope that nothing goes wrong when Sam gets here.

I was in the middle of making my room nice when I heard the doorbell ring. I guess it’s now or never.

“Hey,” she said once I opened the door. She was holding some of her books in one hand and had her bag on her shoulder. The sun was hitting her hair just right and it made her even more flawless if that’s possible.

“H-Hey.” Crap…  I cleared my throat. “Come in.” Act cool, Harry. Just act cool.

“Thanks.” I closed the door behind her. “It’s much different than I remember.”

“What?”

“When we were little, we used to always come to your house. Remember?”

“O-oh. Yeah.” She smiled and it made me go weak at the knees. “Would you like something to drink?”
