After the strange little run-in outside, the tutor had finally made an appearance and when he unlocked the room, I sped to my seat. I sat here every day for the last year without fail.

Back seat, corner, alone, move quickly before someone else gets-

"I've set up a seating plan for this year. I want everyone to get equal time with everyone in the form. You will have 2 seats. One for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. These will be the home seats. You will be seated with others of your year group. On Thursday and Friday, you will be at your away seats. These will be where I mix everyone up at each table", our tutor spoke, breaking me out of my little frenzy for my favourite seat.

Greeeaaat, life was totally going my way already, then this man opens his massive gob and makes it even better. I must've won the lottery for worst luck in people ever or something. This morning definitely flipping feels like it.

We have a mix of people from both years in the form. I stood there, looking at him in disgust, waiting for my table to be pointed out. My home seat was on the table in the front row, right in front of his desk, oh joy. Luckily for my away seat, I managed to get one at the back.

As I was moving to my seat at the front, it hit me, he's in my year. As I moved towards the table with hope in my heart that he wasn't sat at my table, I saw Tom at the table I was supposed to be seated at. You have got to be shitting me. He then went on to put his hand on the seat next to him, stopping a girl from sitting in it.

"Sorry darling, saving this seat for someone", he said softly to her.

Turning around and scanning the room, he took notice of me, his eyes lit up a lil bit as he coaxed me over (Yeah, I said lil). The other two students had already taken the liberty to occupy the other seats so I had no choice but to sit next to him. I mentally face palmed as I sat down and looked off into space.

The tutor told us that today was a day to get to know people so he just let us talk after taking the register. We usually spent the first day in form getting to know people. He would change our seating plan in the second half of the day so we would get to interact with the other people we may be sat with later on.

Stupid man, we are in year groups right now, we already know too much about each other. I say that but I don't know either of the people across me. Don't even know their names.

"Hallow again", Tom says while beaming at me.

"No."

"What?"

"I am exhausted, too exhausted to be sighing about you being here."

"Its morning, why are you already so exhausted."

"I didn't sleep last night."

He started giving me a wierd grin mixed with a very intrigued looking face, "Oh really?"

"Not that it's your business, I was watching the purge."

"You didn't have to tell me that but good to know."

"and you? Why are you so perky this morning? Drink a few gallons of caffeine?"

"You know, it might sound crazy but some of us are morning people."

"Riiiiiiiiiighhht, cus those actually exist, ok then."

I looked across from me and finally acknowledged the other two on our table. It was a girl with long ginger hair and a boy with a beanie.
