"Come on, Cerulean. You haven't been to one party since being here."
I glanced up from my homework. "Don't plan on going to one either. I'll be at work, Sky."
She groaned in frustration. "Not all weekend..." I shrugged, she was slowing progress, the more I could get done between classes the less I did when I went to Daniel's. "Fine... next Friday, football game, after party."
I shook my head, finishing the math and pulling out English. "Busy."
She threw up her hands dramatically. "You don't party, you don't date, what the fuck do you do?" I stayed silent. May need to consider new people to hang around...
"Yo, Sky!"
Finally, someone came to distract her. "Hey... Troy? Right?"
"Uh... Gerald..."
She giggled. "Oops, drunk night."
"Yeah, this is Solomon and who's this?"
Skylar pushed my shoulder. "Cerulean. Stop being rude."
I side eyed her and nodded in their direction in acknowledgement. "Nice name."
I pressed my lips together, reading the pages assigned to us. "Cerulean..." Skylar pinched my side and I gave her a bored look. "He's talking to you."
I sighed. "Fully aware."
He chuckled. "Haven't seen you around before."
I kept looking at her. "And he's still talking to me... why?"
She gaped. "You're so mean." I shrugged and went back to what I was doing. "She really is nice when you get to know her."
I rolled my eyes. "Liar."
The boy sat in front of me. "I'm cool with that. Going to the game this week?"
I finally spared him and his friend a glance. "No."
He smirked. "Why not, I co-"
I answered my phone when it rang. "Hello?"
"School going okay?"
I pursed my lips. "Other than being harassed, sure."
Daniel chuckled. "Trying to get you to a party again?"
I smirked. "And talking to guys, I need new friends."
He feigned a gasp. "Do I need to worry?"
"Hindi ko pa alam." I don't know yet.
He laughed. "Thought you didn't like people."
I smiled at the sound. "Hindi ko." I don't.
"Well, hopefully they don't steal you away."
I checked the time. "Bumalik ka sa trabaho. I'll see you when I get there." Go back to work.
He sighed. "Fine, love you." I shook my head, still refusing to say it aloud. "Don't work too hard."
Skylar frowned at me. "Really? Who was that?"
I rolled my eyes. "People, you have done no work whatsoever. I'm going to lab."
She pursed her lips. "Biology? You can miss a class."
I packed my things. "It's the first one. No."
Gerald slapped his friend's shoulder. "Didn't tell me you had class with her. We can walk you."
I walked past them. "I'm good."
He walked up beside me anyway. "Come on... it's just a walk."
I pursed my lips and put in my earpods, he was really annoying. I had the sound low, so when they started talking I could hear. "Told you, man."
Gerald glanced back. "Hey, you're the one that wants to talk to her, but I'm doing all the talking."
Solomon sighed. "I never said that, just said she seemed cool."
He laughed. "But watch her from far away, yeah, okay."
"Leave her alone, she probably got a boyfriend."
He glanced at me. "So, she's a geek, just like you. Hell, check the Naruto shirt. You watch that shit. You would be in to someone who is rude as fuck though."
I was grateful to finally walk into class and take my seat. The professor walked in, lucky the same one who taught the class. "So you will have a partner for these labs, choose wisely."
Inwardly groaning, I stayed in my seat. "So... you cool with being partners?"
I looked across from me. "If you don't mind having one that's rude as fuck."
Solomon frowned. "Ignore him, he's stupid." I shrugged and he sat in the stool. "Sorry about that."
I raised my eyebrows. "Why? It's not like he's lying."
He pursed his lips. "He's not?"
I turned my attention back to professor. "You have this whole lab to find out."

Taking work home was something I didn't like to do, but I still hadn't found my full stride yet. Luckily, Cerulean wouldn't finish up for another hour or so, then would have work of her own to do. "About time you showed up, Daniel."
I froze from removing my tie and slowly turned. "How did you get in here?"
A slow evil smile spread across the face of the last person I wanted to see. "I'm still your wife."
I clenched my jaw. "I'm divorcing you, Diedra."
She pouted. "I came to talk about that actually."
I walked over to the door opening it. "Anything you have to say, you can say in front of our lawyers get out."
She raised her eyebrows. "No."
I pressed my lips together, got my phone, and started to head out the door. Diedra hopped over the couch and slammed it shut, blocking the way. "Move."
She looked around the apartment. "Your sugar baby let's you live like this? She made you leave our beautiful home and the company, to slave and live in squalor?"
I clenched my fists. "She didn't make me do anything and she is no sugar baby."
She scoffed. "Said nothing about this shit hole your living in."
I chuckled. "It's not a house with thousands of beds and baths, cars, staff; but it is far from that." I smiled softly remembering Cerulean here. "I'm happier here than I ever was there."
Her nostrils flared. "Bullshit... you were happy with me. You built all of that with me."
I laughed. "You're so fucking full of it. You built nothing. Hell, I inherited that house and the company. You married me for the money or do you so soon forget."
Finally, I got a good look at her. Her hair was dull and limp, skin dry, bags under her eyes, she even looked to have lost weight. "That was a mistake."
I shook my head. "The mistake was marrying you. Get out and don't come back."
She slowly came closer. "I know you miss me, Daniel."
When her hands extended towards me, I stepped back frowning. "Don't put your hands on me. Leave or I'm calling the police."
She laughed. "Call them, bet your little girl will make it here before them."
I ran my tongue across my teeth. "Why are you doing this?"
She glared at me. "Because you're mine. You will grow tired of that fucking child and regret all of this."
I shook my head and grabbed her arm. "I won't and it's time for you to go."
She stumbled as I shoved her out the door. "How dare you?!" Her eyes flicked down the hall. "You know I'm pregnant with your child, Daniel!"
