"Bestfriend please put yo lashes on," Teezy sighed appearing in the bathroom threshold, leaning his body against the frame, "I told you about that alopecia shit already."
"I don't need them best, I'm fine." I said screwing the back of my earring on after I slipped in through the piercing, "this is an interview, not the club."
"Just because it's not the club don't mean you gotta walk in there with bald lids, that's unprofessional too."
"I'm not finna do this with you today," I let out a breath to calm my nerves while fixing my hair, "should I put it up in a bun? I feel like I look younger with it down."
"No, it's fine like that stop worrying."
"Okay," I grabbed the lip liner holding it up, "lip liner or no lip liner?"
He cocked his lips head to the side looking at me thinking, "lip liner, I like that on you."
"Thanks best," I smiled opening the liner as I leaned closer to the mirror, outlining my lips with it.
I closed the liner and picked up my clear gloss, putting some on and rubbing it in admiring the look.
"Can you pass me my jacket?"
He grabbed my cream colored blazer that matched my cream colored pants off the back of the door, handing it to me, "what job is this interview for again?"
"A personal assistant."
"For who?"
"A man who owns a couple businesses around the city."
"You sure that's something you wanna do? Usually those people with personal assistants be mean and obnoxious for no reason."
I let out a breath unplugging the flat irons and checking the time on my Apple Watch, "it's not something I wanna do but if it's necessary then I have to."
"Money becoming that much of an issue?"
"Yes we got so accustomed to this lifestyle and it's starting to be a problem, cutting down on costs been harder than I thought and if we wanna stay afloat, we need a steady source of income."
"Best why you ain't been say something?" He sighed following me out the bathroom and into my bedroom, "you know I got plenty money in the bank that's just sitting there."
"Because you've already done enough, we took not one but two vacations all at your expense and I never been the type to ask somebody for money."
"You right, asking for money is ghetto but what if you don't ask, what if I just give it to you?"
"Then I still won't accept it."
"And why not?"
"Because I'll feel like I owe you something and I hate that feeling," I said truthfully, "heels or flats?"
