Monday
Isay's POV
After the whole wendigo mishap, there wasn't anything out of the ordinary, nothing unusual and no more weird murders so Scott thinks it was just a one time thing.
I have a big game tonight, I'm very nervous about it. Coach has been on our asses all day about this game and he'll have an aneurysm if we lose.
Jake has been avoiding me recently which is weird since he usually always follows me around like a lost puppy, not that I'm complaining, I'm finally free from his never ending death glares and stalking
I just finished math class and now I have to meet isaac. We both have a free period so we're gonna discuss the wendigo problem together, Scott told us to leave it alone since nothing happened since last Saturday but me and isaac weren't having it.
I walked next to his locker and saw him there leaning against it, looking at his wrist as if he had a watch
Isaac: tsk tsk tsk you're about a freckle late, McCall
He smirked and I shook my head at him
You: shut it smart ass, where are we gonna go?
Isaac: the school cafeteria is empty right now
He shrugged
You: cool, let's go
We arrived at the cafeteria and there were a couple of janitors chatting
Isaac leaned in and whispered in my ear
Isaac: how much people do you think you can compel all at once?
He grinned mischievously
You: no way, I promised Scott I wouldn't use my powers at school
Isaac: is Scott here now?
You: no but-
Isaac: come on! It's good practice
He encouraged
I sighed and walked up to the janitors, there were 3 of them
You: hey
They all stopped chattering and looked down at me
My eyes started turning red as I compelled them
You: leave.
They all started grabbing their stuff and left without a word
My eyes went back to normal and isaac clapped as he skidded across the room to me, the floor still being slippery
I giggled at his silliness and sat on one of the tables
He stopped goofing around and sat across from me, cross legged
Isaac: ok let's get down to business, did you bring it?
I nodded and got the book deaton gave me out of my bag
He took it and flipped through pages till he found the wendigo page
Isaac: ok says here that wendigos eat human flesh blah blah blah, nothing we dont know already.
He continued reading silently until his brow raised
Isaac: ok so they are vulnerable to fire, silver and..
He squinted his eyes and put the book closer to his face
Isaac: anasazi symbols?
He asked himself
Isaac: yep anasazi symbols
