It has been a week since Shinichi last called Ran. She started to worried. She has send him a bunch of email but she still didnt get any reply from him. Ran noticed that she barely saw Conan at home..he always go out and went home really late. Sometimes he told her that he will sleep at prof. Agasa house to try his new game. 
                          
Sometimes he will be home when everyone already sleep. Ran noticed that Conan try to hide something from her ..so she decided to ask him about it tomorrow. Unfortunately, he isn't in his room that morning..she ask her father where did Conan go. Her father just yawning and said he left so early this morning..seem like someone pick him up. 
                          
That night, she stay up late to wait for Conan to go home..she heard the door open slowly and she saw a cute small 7 years old boy open the door carefully enough  to not wake anyone up. It seem like he didn't realize that Ran waiting for him at the living room.
                          
He begin to tip toe going to his room until Ran voice shocked him. 
" Conan-kun..what are you doing until make you went home this late..its 2 am. " he slowly turn to the left and saw Ran glare at him. "R..Ran..Ran neechan..I..I was..er.." his word won't come out..he stand like a statue while Ran still waiting for him to finish up his word. ( there's no way I going to say that I went home late because I stay with FBI to make a plan to attack Gin and the rest of BO..) he whisper in his heart while his mind still looking for the right excuse.
                          
"Dad said he saw you left so early this morning..seem like someone pick you up? Who was it ?" she ask again. He stay silent ..dont know how to answer the question...He open his mouth to answer the question but Ran once again ask him .. " you've been acting weird these past few days Conan-kun..I just worried..with Shinichi has be gone without any news..and you been acting weird..its making me sad." she said and wipe the tears on the corner of her eyes. " its fine if you didnt want to talk to me about where or what are you doing but atleast tell me when will you come home..atleast I'll be less worried. " she continue.
                          
"Im sorry Ran neechan..I've been busy with some stuff..er..my mum told me to do.." he lied. " I'll email you when will I be back next time..sorry to make you worried and make you stay up waiting for me..Ran...neechan.." he apologize but still he didnt have courage to look at her when she mention about shinichi went missing..maybe because her message and call couldnt reach him. (Im here Ran..Im infront of you right now..!) he said in his heart..
                          
"I see..its fine then..okay lets sleep now....you must be so tired right now." Ran said with a forced smile on her face..he knew she forced herself to smile. He just nodded and turn around where Ran sit and said " goodnight Ran neechan..sorry because I make you wait for me.." 
"Its fine , im not mad. Goodnight Conan-kun." she replied and wave her hand toward Conan. After he close the door..Ran stand and let out a big sigh.  Conan word spinning inside her head..why does he need to apologize to her cuz making her wait..its doesnt really late . little that she know..that word has another meaning..the meaning that will lead her to the bitter truth.
                          
She wash her face and brushed her teeth. She do her skincare routine and went straight to the bed while Conan word still stuck in her head. she ignore it..and without she realize..she already fall asleep that night. Not knowing what will happen in the future.

That night were so quiet. Conan couldn't sleep thinking about the plan he make with FBI..its has a lot of risk..but they need to used that plan no matter what. Suddenly Ran face pop out in his head. He have a nightmare about Ran been torture and been killed infront of him a few days ago..he keep dreaming about the same thing and that make him scare to sleep.
                          
He dont want someone that so important in his life end up dying because of him..He swear to himself ..no matter what happen..he'll protect her from them..He'll not let anyone hurt her. But he's mad at himself..he said to himself , he will not let anyone hurt her..but at the end..he is the one that hurt her the most. 
                          
He dont know what time it is..but he already fell asleep. 'Occhan' snoring didnt really bothering him since he already used to it.
