Watching Cindy drag Daniel to the girliest stores I've ever seen was almost as entertaining as him trying to steal my bags. Dodging him was simple when she refused to let him go. His jaw was tight as I put my bags in the trunk, smirking.
Now, I had to endure the long wait while she went over every item in the store trying to figure out what what he liked. I got bored and wandered out to people watch. Daniel came out frowning. "Can't stay put can you?"
I shrugged. "That kind of shopping is not my speed."
He sighed and glanced back, I could only assume he left her in the dressing room. "So what is your speed, then?"
I sighed. "Only really needed stuff for work, so that's what I got and... nerd stuff."
He raised his eyebrows, curious. "Nerd stuff."
I smirked. "Can't tell all my secrets, Daniel, but someone's looking for you."
I saw his annoyance as he turned. "This... was a bad idea."
I rolled my eyes as Cindy glared at me. "Needy little pet isn't she... you should go before she bites."
He laughed at that. "You are something else."
Cindy stormed out of the store. "What's so funny?" Again, I ignored her and Daniel glared at her, making her cringe. Oooo scary... "I was curious."
The way her tone went from hostile to timid was impressive. "Have we finished here?"
She smiled at him. "Just need to pay."
I shook my head as he followed her back in. That was pitiful... but then again... he gave me a car and a room to use for now. Can't judge...
I inwardly groaned as she found yet another store and opted just to wait outside. I wanted to know nothing about the lingerie she may pick out. "Shy?"
I glowered at her. "Not interested..."
She looked at me curiously. "But if h-"
I rolled my eyes. "I don't really care, go do your thing."
She smirked as she glanced back to make sure Daniel was out of earshot. "You'll be out on your ass in no time like this."
I chuckled as he started towards us. "Trust me... I'd rather it be that way."
"What way?"
Cindy turned around after putting on a sad face. "She said she'd rather leave us than stay."
Daniel raised his eyebrows at me and I shrugged. "Yeah, after she said she'd win you over to have me kicked out. Are your feelings hurt?"
He licked his lips. "I'll deal with you later..." Oh shit... he big mad... "We're going."
Cindy gaped. "Bu-"
He crossed his arms. "You can't get along so, we're going." I pursed my lips. Like... I'm supposed to play nice? Why? "And don't you say anything."
I rolled my eyes and zippered my lips. "Da-"
"First, I'm not your dad stop calling me that."
"Thank sweet baby Jesus and his mother Mary." He glared at me a smile tugging at his lips. "Sorry..."
He regrouped. "Either stop bickering or we go."
That went from freedom to not real quick... oh well. "Yes, sir..."
He looked at me expectantly and I raised my eyebrows. "Well?"
I narrowed my eyes. "I can talk now?"
