Besides the fact that she was guilty, she knew she already saw Y/n as her daughter. She couldn't believe the thought that she'd able to leave without her anymore and she didn't want to leave her alone.

She also knew George won't be able to handle it alone and she would leave her best friend in such a state. The funeral had shook him bad and she wanted to make sure he was okay.

And exactly happened.

Two years later, Y/n was running around the house, giggling while Stephanie was chasing her to finish the milk.

George was sitting on his coffee table, chuckling at the sight. There wasn't one day he didn't remember Stella.

" George! Come and help me! " Stephanie complained and he raised his hands.

" Alright, chill! " He says and grabs Y/n, picking her up and setting her on the table while she could only giggle.

" Oh, thank Goodness! Here, N/n. Finish this. " Stephanie says and Y/n reluctantly drank the milk and scruched her face causing Stephanie to chuckle.

" You're lucky you're cute! " She pinched both her cheeks and pressed a kiss on her forehead.

As Stephanie turned around to go to the kitchen, her finger was grabbed by Y/n.

" Mama! " She squealed and Stephanie froze, along with George and they looked at her amused.

" Did she just- " Stephanie widened her eyes and George chuckled.

" Yeah! She did. She just said her first word! " He cheered, tickling Y/n who giggled.

That was a very special moment for both George and Stephanie and Y/n herself. She didn't know Stephanie wasn't her mother but seeing as the way she took care of her, she wouldn't mind later on.

After three more years, Stephanie and George fell in love and dated for another year. Getting married, George found himself lucky to have a daughter and a wife. Despite missing Stella, he knew his life was complete.

" Let's go! I wanna play! " The five year old whined and Stephanie chuckled.

" Of course, N/n. Do you want to go to the park? " She asks bending to her eye level and Y/n beamed.

She waved goodbye to her father on the way and they headed out. The park was just down the street and Y/n didn't need to walk much. As they reached, Y/n played along with some other children while Stephanie merrily engaged in a chat with one of her friends that come here with their children.

" Hey! Can I play too? " Asked a boy, his soft brown eyes looking down at Y/n and his brown hair falling over his forehead. He had soft features and a cute face.

Y/n pouted and looked at him, shaking her head. She was messing around, while the boy frowned.

" Why not? " He asked, almost hurt and Y/n burst out into fits of laughter.

" Of course, you can play. I'm trying to build a castle. Come and help me. " She grabs his arm, pulling him down beside her while the boy beamed.

" I'm Peter Parker. " He says looking sideways at Y/n who giggled.

" That's cute. I'm Y/n L/n." She says and Peter grinned goofily.

" That's more cute. "

There was a start of new friendship. Y/n wasn't sure if she was going to see him again, because she didn't know where he lived or anything about him but the next day, he was there, already building a castle and Y/n had practically ran towards him, tackling him to the ground.
