Natsume's pov

Things in Magnolia had settled down for a while, but had picked right back up as Halloween was rolling into town. Everyone was excited for Halloween, which was something I related to. The thing is, I really hated the idea of ghosts or spirits. It freaked me out and the only person who knows this is Chase, so when I found out that we were not staying home for the holiday and handing out candy to kids, I was really angry. And I mean really angry. "Natsu, you promised me, we would stay home and take a break from missions!!! Stop running and come here so I can kill you!!" I shouted, chasing after Natsu. We were currently in the guild hall, where Natsu presented a mission. In this mission, we were going to have to go to a small town which  had strange occurrences going on, as if the place was haunted. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry Natsume, but these people really need our help." Natsu pleaded, as I cornered him around a nearby table which seated Lucy, Gray, Erza and the siblings. "You always do this!! Why can't we ever stay home and celebrate a holiday together, huh?!!" I slammed my hands on the table, startling Satoru who had been sleeping on the table. "Natsume come on..." He laughed nervously, "Don't you want to help people?" This set me off and I launched myself across the table at Natsu. Natsu managed to catch me but we both hit the floor, I wrestled with him as we rolled on the floor. "Do you two always have to do this in the guild hall?" Macao asked, letting out a sigh as Natsu shouted pain, while I held him in a headlock.

"Aw come on, Natsume. It's not that bad. If we get the job done early, we can make it back in time to watch the Halloween performance." Gray looked over at the two of us on the floor, I looked over at him for moment, holding the headlock tightly on Natsu. "Gray's right. We can even go trick or treating if we make it back early." Lucky smiled, but I didn't listen to them and continued to hold Natsu in a headlock. "You owe me a holiday at home, you big oaf!!!" I shouted, causing him more pain. "Will you two stop fighting all the damn time?!!" Gajeel snapped after we crashed into the table, Levy, Pantherlily, Elfman and him were sitting at. "Stay out of this!!" Natsu and I shouted at Gajeel, which only pissed him off. This got Gajeel involved, he suddenly jumped into our fight which made me even more pissed than I already was.

"Oh here we go again." Lucy sighed, "Those three will never get along, will they?" Wendy sighed, "No, they won't. The main reason being is because they're all idiots." Satoru said with a sigh, "Hey!! What did you just call me?!!" Gajeel and I shouted in unison, turning to him.

"So let me get this straight... This town had been having strange things going on and they said there isn't any mage behind it?" Gray asked, looking to Erza. We were sitting on a carriage, headed for a small town which was a few miles away from Lupinus. Our group consisted of Wendy and Carla, Levy, Erza, Lucy, Juvia, Freed, Happy, Natsu, Chase, Satoru, Lucky and I. I currently sat in between Lucy and Freed, while Natsu laid across the bench on the other side of the carriage, chase was just across from him. "Yes, there have been a lot of reported incidents. Local police stated that they did a full investigation and could not find anything pertaining to this." Erza said, looking up from the paper. "That's strange. What kind of incidents did they have?" Freed asked, looking at Erza. "Things being lifted into the air without the use of one's magic objects being thrown across the room. Some even say they have seen a ghost roaming the town late at night." I froze at her words, looking over at her, and slightly paled. "Did you just say g-ghost?" I stammered, making Lucy look over at me. She gave me a concerned look, wondering why I seemed a bit panicked. "Don't tell me your afraid of ghosts?" Gray taunted, making me look over at him.

"No, I'm not." I blushed, becoming embarrassed and looked away.
"I think somebody is." Gray teased, making me stick my tongue out at him.

"It's alright if you're afraid of ghosts, Natsume." Wendy reassured, "Yeah, there's no shame in that." Levy agreed, "Thanks, you guys.. But I'm not afraid of ghosts." I crossed my arms, making a face at Gray, who teased me back.
