Chapter 43

~ Michael ~

She walked with so much grace and confidence, the way she just radiated power and authority. She was the representation of what a true alpha female is. Her personality was threatening even when she was nothing but sweet and caring.

The only woman who ever invaded my thoughts was finally here, she held so many secrets. All I ever wanted to do was have her, all of her to myself. I feared that I would push her to open up too much that she would run away.

She would leave quite often but here she would stay with me for a few nights. I could never get enough of her, I was becoming a mad man wondering if she was okay or if she would come back. I knew she had another job besides coming here. But that didn't made things any better, I resisted the urge to have her followed and even brought back to me. But I knew that would only anger her and drive her away. I had to respect her privacy and her life outside of here. We weren't in a relationship for me to ask anything from her.

She laid under me taking her top off I began to trail my eyes down her body. The true definition of beauty, my Poison Ivy. Her beautiful breasts down her stomach, what is that? A new addition to her tattoo collection?

She didn't give me a chance to read what it said but Ive seen enough to know what that was. She was marked, and at the drop of a dime my world crumbled down before my eyes. My beloved Victoria Elizabeth... my Poison Ivy belongs to someone else now. Disappointment washed over me like a bucket of ice water, my blood ran cold throughout my body.

Someone else claimed the love of my life, the woman of my dreams. My mind was filled with a million thoughts that just rushed through my head. What do I do now? I could start a war because of my love for her.

I need to be in my right state of mind and think before I do anything. Did she ran from him? Did he hurt her? But most importantly who was he?

'Are you going to tell her how you feel?' Mark asked studying my face.

"I don't know if it matters anymore, she's not mine to keep." I said taking a cigarette out of my coat.

Mark called Jules and I over heard her say they were at a club. This was not good, she could have someone killed. She wanted to run away and escape but soemthing in my mind told me to protect her from doing any damage to innocent people.

I didn't mean to confess my feeling to her that way, her reaction said it all. She didn't love me like I loved her, she felt distant towards me as soon as we stepped in that car. I knew she would be upset when I made her stay until she told me who it was.

The week went by awfully slow and every day that kept passing by made me feel regret even stronger and greater than the day before. I knew I should have been honest with her and told her everything before she left.

I heard a knock on the door, before I could respond Crystal stepped in wearing her black robe. She approached me with a smile that could only come across from someone looking for trouble.

"What is it Crystal?" I asked with a raised eyebrow.

'I just came to visit you Michael.' She pushed my chair back while I still sat on it.
