"It's ok," he says sadly. "I know I'm a wimp. But it's not my fault, I was born that way! I'm not like Mako or Li Na, I wasn't raised by a pack of wolves in the woods."

I kinda feel bad for the kid. He was sheltered his whole life. He didn't have to work for anything. In a way, even though our lives were completely different, the one thing we did have in common is that we both had struggles while both of our upbringings contributed to holding us back at one point in time.

"You don't know anything about us, do you?" Mako asks.

"Yeah, I'm drawing a blank. Why is that? How do I not know stuff about you?"

"Uhh ... you never asked?" I say.

"Well I'm asking now. What's your favorite food? What's your favorite color? Is there a special lady in your life?" He asks Mako.

"Ha! Special lady?" I snort. "Not since Korra, and that was ages ago!"

Wu's eyes buck out of his head.

"You dated the Avatar?" He asks in shock. "Sit! You and I need to have a little gab session right now! How'd you guys first meet?"

Mako and Wu sit on the floor facing each other. I have to hear this, so I join them. It's been awhile since I've even thought about everything that's went down since we met Korra. It'll be nice to revisit old memories.

"Bolin and I were playing for the Fire Ferrets, but Li Na met Korra first after school."

"And they did not believe me," I say. I admit, I'm still bitter about the situtaion.

"You were a pro-bender?" Wu asks shocked.

"Yes. Now let him finish the story," I say.

"Carry on."

(Flashback\Mako Narration)

"Bolin, Li Na, and I grew up dirt poor, so once I became a pro-bender, I wanted it all: Riches, fame, accolades, and enough money for Li Na's medical expenses. But all that changed when I met Korra.. well, all except the money for Li Na."

"Come on, I want you to meet our brother, Mako," Bolin says happily.

"Mako? Wow, I-I heard you play on the radio!" Korra says excitingly, but Mako walks right pass her.

"Come on, Bolin, we're up," Mako says seriously and ignores Korra completely.

...

"Avatar Korra?" Li Na whispers, not really knowing how to approach her.

"Hey, I recognize you! You're that girl from the other day!" Korra says excitingly.

"Yeah! I knew you were the Avatar! I just can't believe it. You're here, in our city! Um... You'll have to excuse my brothers. Mako has always been Mr. 'Serious All the Time,' but he'll loosen up eventually. And Bolin is um... well, he's Bolin," Li Na explain with a smile.

"Well it's nice to meet you. I'm glad you're ok, I was worried about you. I wasn't expecting to see you over there that day since everyone on that street was so..."

"Old," Li Na finishes for her.

"That's the word," Korra says with a laugh.

"I like to visit them after school, they're my friends. I clean Mrs. Yang's shop and she gives me an apple."

"Ohhh," Korra replies. "So what about your brothers? They have no idea I'm the Avatar, huh?"

"I told them about you, but Mako laughed at me and I guess Bolin believes me, but he's so oblivious to everything, so it doesn't matter."
