Corinth's Pov
"So." Amelia spoke out and a smile creeps up her cheeks. " She said yes."
"You totally scared me for a minute." I let out a breath I didn't even realize I had been holding in. " Can we go in?"
"Yeah you can, you just have to sign here " she placed a pen and a paper filled with signatures, as I was just about to sign my name, I noticed a familiar name it was Shenelle. I wondered why she had been there.
"Can you describe what the Shenelle that visited Alexa looks like?, if it's beyond you to do so, I totally understand."
"Its ok, I can tell you, she is a a caramel toned female, she has really pretty features, her hair has a lot of curls, she reminded me of you actually, well except for the eyes that is." Amelia explained as she typed a few stuff into her computer while she threw me a few glances; while describing Shenelle.
"They totally don't look alike." Kimmy spoke up. " Corinth could you sign the form already?"
"Oh right." I held the pen in between my fingers; and unconsciously thought about the possibilities, why is everything around me so blindly clear? It's almost like poison. Waiting for me to consume it. Everyone knew something I didn't.
"Cori." Kimmy whisper shouts and I jumped causing the pen to fall to the ground.
"Sorry I."
"Its ok, I'm sorry for scaring you." She leaned over and picked up the pen and smiled.
I signed my initials and dotted my 'i's." Here you go." I slid the clipboard over to Kimmy and thanked Amelia by mouthing the words.
"Ready." Kimmy snapped me from my thoughts.
"As can ever be." I took the lead. " Oh and Kimmy."
"Yeah." She answered absent mindedly.
" What ever happens in there, or what you may hear today, please don't let it change anything between us." I looked into her eyes, pleading for a pardon. But she didn't know that. She didn't know that I was dying on the inside, all while trying to live.
"It won't change anything, trust me." She marched toward me and places her hand in mines. " Let's do this together."
Kimmy and I stood in front of the door, it took me back to when I left these doors, wishing to never return. I remembered it so well. I stepped in first and Alexa sat up. Her eyes narrow in confusion but a smile crawls up her face. She raced toward me but stops.
"Corinth, weird seeing you here."
"I would say so." I smiled. I wasn't sure how to begin, I wasn't sure where I'd find myself after enduring what was to come.
"Hi Kimmy." Alexa tilted her head to the side and acknowledged kimmy, who had remained quiet.
"Alexa, why did you approach me back then?" Her smile falls and her eyes diverted to mines; shifting ever so often. " That day in the grocery."
"Do you finally know?" She turns and walked toward the bed.
"Finally know what? That you are potentially the worst person that existed." Kimmy barked at Alexa.
"Not quite." Alexa sits down. " Lets let Corinth clear the misunderstanding up for us."
" What does she mean?" Kimmy turns me to face her.
I took a loud gulp. I didn't do anything wrong, this isn't on me. I took steps back and a tear spiders down.
"Tell her." Alexa voiced in a harsh tone.
