"Aunt Yena!" Little Chaewon asked, tugging the hem of her aunt's pants. Yena placed her mug on the table and carried Chaewon on her lap.
"Yes ssamu?" She asked sweetly before tickling the girl on her neck making her squeal "Aunt I have a question".
"Sure sweetie".
"What's a soulmate?".
There was a long pause between them. Yena bit her lips as a smile broke on her face.
It's a... it's like a best friend but more...
It's one person in the world who knows you better than anyone else...
It's someone who makes you a better person...
Actually, they don't make you a better person, you do that yourself because they inspire you...
A soulmate is someone who you carry with you forever...
It's one person who knew you better and accepted you and believe in you before anyone else would.
And, no matter what happens you will always love them...
Nothing can never change that.
Yena patted Chaewon's head as she finished her sentence. She wasn't really sure if the kid got what she said but, she truthfully answered Chaewon.
The little girl tilted her head to the side "Have you found your soulmate?".
The door of the room suddenly opened "Oh Chaewon, we've been looking for you".
"Mommy!"
"Sorry Yena".
"No worries Eunbi unnie, Chaewon is a nice kid" Yena replied. Chaewon placed her tiny hands on her mom's cheeks "Aunt Yena told me something about soulmates!".
"Really? That's really nice!" Yena smiled, Eunbi excused them as they went back inside the living room where the others are.
"Yes Chaewon, I've found my soulmate" she spoke, tears were streaming down her face as she took Yuri's picture behind the urn.
"I love you Joyul".
