I was rudely awakened by getting pulled out of the bed.
I quickly sat up, furious at whoever was pulling me out of my sleep. I am not a morning person.
My death glare fell on a burly man. "Get the fuck out of the bed." He ordered roughly.
I glared at him. "You could be a little nicer about it." I mumbled as I got out of the bed, tiredly rubbing my eyes.
"It ain't my job to be nice." He muttered. I stood there unsure what he wanted me to do.
He rolled his eyes and grabbed my upper arm, roughly pulling me out the door.
He dragged me through the hall and I knew better than to talk to them.
'Is this it? Am I gonna die?' I kept asking myself as he brought us further down the dim hall.
He turned multiple corners before he brought me to a dark room and shoved me in.
I stumbled in the dark but quickly caught my balance. I turned around to ask him where I was but the door slammed in my face. I was alone now.
I sat in the room for about 10 minutes before another man walked in.
He strolled in, a gleeful smile on his face. "Look what the cat dragged in!" He exclaimed with a heavy British accent.
I squinted my eyes at him and furrowed my brows. Who is this guy?
He walked closer until he stood in front of me. I took a few steps back.
His lips twisted up in a twisted smirk. "Hello Skylar, I'm Leo, the one that runs this place." He gestured around him before holding his hand out towards me. I looked down at it and refused to move.
He sighed before he dropped it and put both hands into his pocket.
"Please, have a seat." He pointed behind me to a small metal chair.
I grabbed it and positioned it in front of him, far enough that he couldn't grab me.
A worker brought in a bigger chair for him and set it up before leaving us.
He sat down and intertwined his fingers together in his lap professionally.
"Do you know why you're here, Skylar?" He asked, his right eyebrow raised slightly.
I nodded my head. No way was I letting this douche-bag get a word out of me.
He leaned forward and rested his elbows on his knees. "Your mother and father took something very precious to me and it's only fair that I do the same." His voice dropped, hatred seeping through every word.
I thought for a moment. What could they possibly have taken that was enough for this guy to kidnap me?
"What did they take?" I found myself asking.
