'which could come in handy,' atsumu tried to not smile at the thought.

he also noticed other features of the male. the way his two identical moles sat beautifully over his eyebrow. the way his curls lightly fell in front of his eyes while the others rested behind his ears. the way he slightly bit his lip as he concentrated on his homework.

"i can feel you staring stop," sakusa said, not even looking up.

atsumu choked as he started coughing his face turning red. no matter how long sakusa pulled the same old tricks it didn't mean atsumu's reaction would ever change. sakusa snickered at the other boy's reaction as he looked up from his homework.

"we still get to see eachother soon," atsumu said breathlessly, smiling.

     "i just said that stupid."

"ah thanks for stating the obvious omi-omi."

as both boys fell into another peaceful silence a slight smile appeared on sakusas face as he saw the breathless setter smile too.

as the days went by atsumu became restless. he missed sakusa more than words could describe. the rest of his volleyball team knew something was up when they noticed how quiet atsumu had become the last few days. osamu and suna of course knew what was going on but didn't tell the rest of the team out of respect for the poor boy.

"don't tell me you're getting cold feet?" kita half joked the wavering in his voice giving it away he was slightly scared.

atsumu snapped up not even realising he had spaced out once again.

"of course not," atsumu flashed his usual grin as he stepped onto the court.

osamu leaned over to suna. both boys had been eyeing the setter as he went through these phases many times this past week.

"you really think he's that worried about seeing that guy again?" osamu questioned as he watched his brother walk onto the court.

"i think, well i mean there is no other reason for him to be acting like this," suna replied, also watching the nervous setter.

osamu sighed even though he hated his brother with his whole heart; he still knew he couldn't have him playing like this. it would result in the whole team losing their focus.

"what yer' guys waiting for?" atsumu shouted, snapping the boys out of their haze.

osamu gulped and stood up meeting the others on the court as practice began.

atsumu woke up already feeling the smile on his face. he raced out of his bed desperate to get on the bus and head to nationals. he looked in the mirror seeing the sleep still in his eyes along with him disheveled hair. he went through his routine he had made whenever he went to see sakusa. quickly sending sakusa a picture of him doing so as evidence. he continued quickly changing and meeting his brother at the door as they headed out.
