Monica's POV
After talking with Maanav I cut the call and there was a constant smile on my face.
He was so happy when I told her I broke up with umang.
I remembered the day Maanav proposed me and from that time there was a constant smile on my face.
Flashback
"You love me?"I asked.
"Yes.I have fallen in love with you."he said.
"When?"I asked.
"I don't know but I know you only see me as a friend but I cant pretend to be friend with you when I have fallen in love with you."he said.
"Anyways.I am leaving."he said and was leaving.
"What if I said I also love you?"my confession made him stop and he turned around and looked at me.
"What?"he asked.
"I dont know when it happened but I couldn't sleep the whole night I saw you with that girl."I said as I remembered how angry I was that day.
"You were telling me that you were busy but posting whatsapp status with some other girl."I continued.
"That was my sister."he said making me shut my mouth.
"But that day you didn't sleep whole night?"he asked and I nodded in a yes.
"Or maybe the day I was not enjoying the time spent with Umang because I was always thinking about you."I told him the truth.
"But I thought you only think me as your good friend so kept everything in my heart.You cant even understand how much it hurted me when you were ignoring me for past few days and these made me realize that I love you."I continued.
"But I don't understand one thing how can you love a girl like me?"I asked.
"Girl like you ?"
"I mean Umang can like me because he doesn't know what I have done but you know how I broke a relation and still you love me?"I asked the thing which was bothering me from the time I heard he loves me.
"So Umang likes you?"he asked.
"You only heard that part?"I said and started laughing.
"I have fallen in love with a girl who did a mistake but then realized her mistake and then apologized for what she did and can we please stop talking about the past?"he asked.
"But I don't love myself from the day I realized my mistake and it will take a lot of time for me to forgive myself and love myself back."
"Till then I will love you."he said and I was surprised by his words but composed myself.
"If I had not confessed my love what would have happened?"he asked.
"I would have thought that you only like me as a friend and move on in my life."
"You would have never confess that you love me?"he asked.
"No because I cant even imagine that you can fall in love with me after knowing everything.Now also I cant believe that you love me."I said the truth.
