"It's okay. I'm Sawamura Daichi, but just Daichi is fine," he held out a hand to shake. I took his hand shyly, embarrassed that I just bumped into him. 
                          
"I'm L/N Y/N, but Y/N is fine." 
                          
"Great! You've met our amazing captain," I heard from behind me. I turned to see Tanaka and Nishinoya walking into the gym. I turned back towards Daichi, my face getting red.
                          
"Oh god! I didn't realize. I'm so sorry again," I turned to glare at Ennoshita who was speaking to a really tall blonde boy across the gym. Daichi let my hand go, smiling. 
                          
"Seriously, it's fine. If anything Ennoshita should be apologizing for pushing you around."
                          
Tanaka came from behind me, placing his hands on my shoulders. "Let's go meet everyone else Y/N-chan!"
                          
Tanaka led me around the gym to meet the rest of the boys: Asahi, Tsukishima, and Yamaguchi. Asahi and Yamaguchi were really nice, greeting me with big smiles. Tsukishima, though, gave me a very small nod of acknowledgement. He seemed like the uninterested yet snarky type. Eventually everyone came into the gym, and I said hello to the others. Kiyoko came up next to me, introducing me to the group. She explained that I was considering being co-manager for them and to refrain hitting me with too many balls. My eyes widened at that, I forgot that I could get hit with balls. 
                          
Coach Ukai gave me a quick welcome and started practice. I stayed throughout the practice, occasionally asking Kiyoko what the play or move they did was called. She would kindly explain what they were called and why they did it. Man, she knows her stuff. The coach blew his whistle and everyone circled around him. I stood between Tanaka and Hinata, putting my focus on Ukai. 
                          
"Okay guys, there's only two weeks before the training camp at Shinzen. This will be the only training camp before the Spring Tournament, so we need to make sure we are working hard and getting better. Remember that there will be other teams there: Fukurodani Academy,  Ubugawa High and obviously Nekoma will be going as well. They have some top-notch players and amazing strategies that we can learn from and learn to attack against. That's all for today, let's start getting ready for Tokyo!"
                          
All the boys started cheering around me, visibly excited. Tokyo? In two weeks? I mean it seems like fun, but that means I have to make a decision soon so I can be prepared, too.
                          
"Hey, you okay?" I looked up and saw Suga, who was smiling softly.
                          
"Huh? No- Yeah, I'm okay. I'm just thinking about this manager thing. I want to do it, but it'll be a bit hard to get used to everything and learn the game. Not to mention your away training camp soon."
                          
Asahi walked up from behind him.
                          
"Sorry, but I couldn't help but overhear. L/N, it is L/N, right?"
                          
I giggled, "Yes, but call me Y/N. I'm not a fan of formalities."
                          
"Okay, Y/N, well it would be great to have you here. You seem really nice and get along with the team. Maybe not Tsukishima, but he's like that with everyone. Despite that, if you don't want to do it, that's fine. But trying something new isn't a bad thing." He flashed a smile and looked down at Suga, who looked like he was about to cry.
                          
"Asahi, when did you get so inspirational?" he said while wiping away an imaginary tear. This made the three of us laugh. "In all seriousness, I agree with Asahi. It would be fun with you here, but if that's not something you want, it's okay."
                          
"I think I've already made my decision."
                          
"Y/N!! LET'S GO!" 
                          
I turned my head to see Ennoshita waiting at the exit, my bag in his hand along with his own. I said my goodbyes to the third-years. Before I walked out I whispered something to Kiyoko, then jogged my way over to Ennoshita.
                          
"Goodnight everyone!" I heard various replies saying goodnight in return, and with that I walked out of the gym.
                          
"Here, take your bag and hold this really quick, I need to tie my shoe." I took my bag, slinging it over my shoulder. Then took his bag and continued walking.
                          
"Hey! I'm tying my shoe! Wait!!" 
                          
"No, as your manager I instruct you to jog all the way home."
                          
I heard scuffling across the floor, then very quick footsteps coming up behind me. 
                          
"YOU SAID YES!" he screamed, a huge smile on his face.
                          
I smiled back at him just as wide, excited. "I SAID YES!"
                          
He hugged me, picking me up. "Y/N, THIS IS GONNA BE SO FUN!" He set me down, keeping his arms wrapped around me. After a bit, he let me go, looking at me. He still had a wide smile on his face.
                          
"Why so happy, Chika-chan?" I teased. He feigned a frown, lightly punching my shoulder. We continued the walk home.
                          
"Come on, let me be excited my best friend is finally in a club, and with me!"
                          
"Hey! I've been in clubs. And you do know you could have asked me to be manager a while ago."
                          
He gave me a side eyed glance, his face now feigning annoyance. "Puh-lease. You've only been in art and you gave up after a month because 'everything looked wrong', even though the teacher literally told you you were one of the best she's seen. And if I had asked you earlier this year to try becoming manager, you would have shot me down."
                          
Well, he's probably not wrong. I waved him off, looking away. "Whatever, what matters now is I'm doing it now. And I won't give up on it, I swear." I looked at him, seeing a soft smile still on his lips. We kept walking, stopping once we got to my house. "Wanna come in?"
                          
"No, not tonight Y/N-chan. I have to finish up some work tonight and shower. I'll see you tomorrow, okay?" He gave me a hug and a quick kiss to my temple. 
                          
I waved goodbye as he walked down the street. Once he turned in the direction to his house, I walked inside. Ennoshita has been my friend for years, we were practically siblings. He was protective in a sweet way and was always there when I needed it. 
                          
I said hello to my parents before making my way to my room, plopping down on my desk chair. First, math homework. Then volleyball. I spent the rest the night studying volleyball, starting with positions and their roles. Once I got through the list it was close to 11 pm, so I turned off all the lights and hopped into bed. I have a feeling joining the team was a good idea.
