"She's not picking up," Aegis sighed as she clanked down the hallway, her regalia slowly mending itself as its damaged sections glowed a pale yellow. She glanced out the living room window, fingers prying apart the shutters, "And Acadians are still just hanging out. Fuckin weirdos."
"And here I thought having a monster on speed dial meant our lives would get easier," Ebon snorted, a sly smile on her face. "Maybe she's got bad service?"
"He's got a serious concussion!" Alice hissed, wrapping a bandage around Alex's head, his snores softly filling the room, "What the fuck did you twits do? Jesus Christ!"
"I just got home!" Clover argued, "Are we really fighting them? Rose?"
She sighed, pulling her staff from where it sat on the couch, "If we have to. Acadia's been mighty large lately, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't looking forward to it."
"Rose-I-I can't do this. I can't fight another girl, I can't!" Clover panicked, her breaths coming quicker with each word, "Why would they fight us?"
"Because she's fucking crazy?" Aegis replied, "Clover they aren't like her, we've got you."
"I can't!" she repeated, curling into her chair near the back of the room, "I fucking can't!"
"Enough," Rose stepped between the two, "Aegis, grab your shield. Ebon, you know the drill?"
"Their Control bitch is mine," she replied, yawning as her blades found their way to her hands. "Lets see her control shit with a tentacle shoved down her throat."
"Dude, ew."
"Oh fuck off, Super Saiyan," Ebon replied. "Do the curtains match the drapes when you power up?"
"I'm all for sexualizing things," Alice growled, cutting apart Alex's bandages as she tied them, "But can we focus? You all have some serious shit to answer for."
Luster snarled nearest to the door, her orbs twitching every few seconds, hand hovered over the doorknob.
"Yes ma'am, we know," Rose sighed, rubbing her forehead, "Alright, time for a plan. Aegis, standard stuff, you too Ebon. Clover, if it's really that bad you can play escort till Alice can bring her car around. There's too many Acadians, we need to play some hide and seek. Get him out, stay low, we'll reconnect when you're safely away. Get him out. Ma'am?"
Luster looked up from her position at the door.
"Are these acceptable? Where would you like to be?"
She punched her fists together.
"Me too. Luster and I will run interference while you perform takedowns, we're better suited for crowd control. We clear?"
"Yee."
"As Crystal."
Luster nodded and Clover whimpered, gingerly lifting Alex from the couch as Alice pulled her keys free.
"Team Rose, move!"
The door exploded, wood flying in every direction as the Acadians in flight above the home scattered to avoid the debris. The ground forces ran to intercept Aegis's screaming form as Rose emerged behind her, Luster on her heels as the surrounding cars melted and heeded her call.
"They're resisting, bring 'em down!" One girl screamed as Ebon's tentacles entrapped her and dragged her to the ground, kicking and slashing.
Aegis tossed her first opponent aside, bashing another in the face with her shield as the girl crumbled before her, nose pressed flat against the rest of her face. Blades and hammers slid off like water as she charged down everything in sight, stomping any girl not quick enough and pummeling them into the ground. Rose soared through the sky above, gunfire, blades and other ranged weapons or attacks followed after her like a swarm of bees as she was chased, her beams sending girls careening into the floor below, her staff twirling like mad. Metal washed over Acadians like a tidal wave, pulling them out of the sky and dragging them into its mass as Luster waved her arms, conducting her chaotic symphony.
