YUA MISAKI

"Yep Suga-san, I'm doing fine here! You and the others?" I had my phone in between my shoulder and ear as I prepared the table.

"We're fine, nothing new," replied the grey-haired setter from the other line. "Some interesting first years tried applying for the club."

"Tried?"

"Mhmm. Apparently Daichi kicked them out of the gym since they aren't really in good terms."

"Typical Daichi-san, always prioritizing teamwork." I chuckled. "So anyway, did my kouhai applied?"

"Who's your kouhai?"

"Kageyama Tobio remember? I told you guys that he planned on going to Karasuno if ever he fails to enroll at Shiratorizawa."

"Oh, the grumpy one." Suga replied. "Yeah, he's one of the first years that Daichi kicked out along with another first year, Hinata Shoyo, who claims to be his rival."

"I'm not surprised." I deadpanned. Then a knock came from the door, making me perk up in excitement as I hurriedly organized my place.

"You sound like you're busy Misaki-chan." Suga said.

"Yeah, Rekai's coming over." I replied. "Can I call you tomorrow? Send my regards to the entire team, Tobio too."

"Alright alright. Take care Misaki-chan!"

After saying our goodbyes, I hung up and surveyed my small, clean apartment before opening the door.

"Rekai!" I shouted with joy, jumping in my boyfriends arms the moment I opened the door.

He chuckled, carrying my small frame as he entered the apartment while using his foot to close the door. "I can smell my favorite food baby."

"Yeah, I thought you wanted it after a tiring practice."

"Awee, you're the best!" He leaned in and placed his lips on mines as I passionately kissed back before pulling away.

After, he sat in the table, eyes glued intently at the dish I specially made for him as I sat opposite to him.

"Dig in." I said.

"Itadakimasu!"

We started eating our dinner, exchanging words as we caught up with what we missed in each other's lives these last two months while receiving compliments about how good my cooking is, but as I keep looking at him, Tomoe's words seem to bother me.

He's not cheating on me. I thought to myself.

But I turned to him eating silently with a smile, I dropped my utensils and suddenly my appetite was all gone.

"What's wrong, babe? Do you not like your own cooking? Well, I love it!" Rekai soothed.

"No, it's just," I mumbled. "I'm thinking about something?"

"Let's talk it out."

"N-no worries! It's just a small problem!"

"We promised to help each other right?"

I exhaled sharply, nodding and locked eyes with him as I said, "You're not cheating on me, a-a-are you?"

His reaction wasn't what I was expecting. He was rather calm compared to those times when I used to ask him those questions out of insecurity; it was as if he knew I'd ask it.

He smiled, putting the chopsticks down as he reached his hand out and placed it ontop of mines, softly rubbing small circles on it.

"You know I'd never." Rekai said.
