Chapter 53: Naruto, the Savior of Konoha

                                    

                                          
"Yahiko's death, that was my second pain." Nagato said as Naruto stood in silence, looking up at Nagato. 
                          
"I have told you my story. Now let me hear your answer." Nagato said as Naruto looked down, closing his eyes in thought as Nagato narrowed his eyes. 
                          
Naruto reached into the waistband of his pants, pulling out Jiraya's infamous book, 'Tales Of A Gutsy Ninja.'
                          
Naruto stared down in sadness at the book, before he looked back up at Nagato. 
                          
"You may be right. I also think the same way." Naruto said. 
                          
"I see..."
                          
"I get where you're coming from now. But it still...can't forgive you. I still hate you." Naruto said with gritted teeth. 
                          
"Then you want to settle this?" Nagato questioned. 
                          
"But...Pervy sage believed in me, and left me his quest. So I'm gonna believe in Pervy sages belief. That's my answer." Naruto said as he stared directly into Nagato's eyes, as Nagato stared back with wide eyes. 
                          
"So...I won't kill you guys." Naruto said. 
                          
"You'll believe in what Jiraya sensei believed? I see. So that's your answer. And do you expect us to wait...until you make this world a peaceful place? Don't play with me! It's far too late for me to believe Jiraya's words! There's no such thing as true peace! As long as we live in this cursed world peace is impossible!" Nagato yelled as Naruto looked back down at the book in his hand. 
                          
"Then...then...I'll break that curse. If there is such a thing as peace, I'll seize it! I'll never give up!" Naruto exclaimed as Nagato opened his mouth to speak, but nothing came out. 
                          
He stared down at Naruto, as Naruto stared back. 
                          
"You...that's..." Nagato said as Konan looked back at him in worry. 
                          
"Nagato? What's wrong?" Konan questioned as Nagato stared at the ground with wide eyes. 
                          
"Those...words..."
                          
"That's right. They're taken straight from this book. The first novel written by Pervy sage. Pervy sage was seriously trying to change the world with this. At the end of this book, he wrote about a student who helped provide him with inspiration. It was you, Nagato." Naruto said as Nagato shook slightly, Naruto smiling down at the book. 
                          
"No..." Nagato said as Naruto looked up at him. 

                          
"And the name of the hero in this novel..." Naruto said as he lifted his thumb. "Is Naruto!" Naruto finished as he pointed at himself, Nagato's eyes wide. 
                          
"My name is a precious keepsake from Pervy sage! I cannot just give up and stain my master's keepsake! I will be the hokage! And I will bring peace to the hidden rain! Please belive in me!" Naruto exclaimed as Konan and Nagato stared at him with wide eyes. 

                          
Karin placed her arm in Hana's mouth, pushing her jaw to bite her as she whinced. 
                          
"This is bad..." Karin said as Sasuke stared down at Hana. 
                          
"I thought she was dead..." Sasuke trailed off as Karin looked up at Sasuke. 
                          
"We have to get her medical attention. She's lost so much blood." Karin said as Sasuke nodded. 
                          
Picking Hana up gently, staring at her tired and bloody face with a blank face. 
                          
"Let's go." Sasuke said as he started to the exit of the building, Karin following behind. 
                          
Hana's long red hand was draped over Sasuke's arms, swaying with each step he took. 
                          
Her blood dropped onto the floor, as Sasuke was careful of the large rod in her stomach.
