38. Family

                                    

                                          
We walked for a while. We were both sweating and tired. The building that seemed so small was huge. We have been walking for half an hour max. Candice got over her moment of shock. We cried, we laughed and we were depressed.
                          
Eve's death was hard for me. She was a child and through all the pain and suffering, she was still carefree. "God, I needed to lose weight but not this is too much. I'm hungry." I giggled.
                          
"Where the fuck is my sister?" Candice and I looked at each other. It was August's voice.
                          
"Is your sister alone? My fucking sister is there as well." Hades shouted back. We started walking faster.
                          
"I'll fucking shoot you, fucker." August said, pointing a gun at Hades.
                          
Both Candice and I started tearing up at the sight of our brothers. "August!"
                          
"Hades!" Candice and I shouted in unison.
                          
They both turned and I couldn't stop the tears from falling. I smiled and looked at Candice. I took her hand and walked towards our brothers. August caught me with open arms. I cried into his chest. His scent was heavenly. The feeling overwhelmed me and that feeling was home. The feeling of home and I couldn't stop crying.
                          
"You're hurt," I said as I saw his arm. "Are you okay? I need to get you to the hospital." I said assessing his arms.
                          
"Rose, you have been gone for nearly a month and you worried about me," August said, keeping a tight hold on me. 
                          
"Rosie," Hades called me. He had tears in his eyes. I went to hug him. I couldn't stop crying. "Thank you for going back for my sister."
                          
"I'll do anything for her." I hugged him tighter.
                          
"Rose? Rosella." I broke apart from Hades. Candice was standing by August. I ran towards Charles. He lifted me with ease. "Did he hurt you? Are you okay?"
                          
"Just a few scratches." I laid my head on his chest. The feeling of home surrounded me. 
                          
"I'm sorry, I couldn't protect you." he kissed the top of my head. I told Charles and August all about Eve. How she was raised and died. I told them everything except what I went through. Candice also didn't say anything especially the almost rape part. "Anthony fucked up." Charles squeezed and I whimpered. He lifted my tank top and cursed. "He's a dead fucker."
                          
"Where's Lucifer?" Candice asked. She probably needed to see the one person that gave her that home feeling.
                          
"He's killing everyone," Hades spoke up. "Some of the men escaped and now he's going crazy because we have been spending the last fifteen minutes looking for you."
                          
"None of you told him we here?" I asked.
                          
"He's on his way," Charles said. "We need to get you to a hospital for a C.A.T scan. You could have some broken ribs." he looked at me and then Candice. "You need to go as well, Candice. You are in pain."
                          
"How could you let him get away?" We heard Lucifer's voice and turned to that direction.
                          
"Sir, He-" Dead. A gunshot silenced him. I was too dumbstruck to make a sound. We walked around the corner and as sure as hell. The guy was dead.
                          
"I said I wanted no casualties, I lost two soldiers and this idiot jumped to his death when he decided to let fucking Bell escape." He gave them all a death glare. I moved closer to Charlie and he pulled me closer. He turned to us. "Princess." His eyes warmed and so did my heart. "Candice, come," he called his sister and as soon as she was in his arms she broke down.
                          
Even I started crying. I couldn't see my best friend traumatized. It was the first time she went through something like this and I hated it. I hid my face in Charles's chest. "I have a surprise for you." He said and continued to rub my back.
