"Excuse me?" Peter looked up from his walkman to see who had spoken to him. His eyes met theirs, and he found himself frozen for a moment.

"Hello?" You asked with a chuckle.

Shaking his head, he responded, "Oh right, sorry. What's up?"

"I'm in the seat next to you." Peter looked to his right, where the window seat was, then nodded and began to get up. He was flying back from Washington after helping Charles and Logan. His aisle was the very last row of the plane, so he hadn't expected anyone else to sit next to him.

"Thanks." You said as you slid by him and into your seat.

Peter watched you as you got settled; You pulled a small green leather-bound notebook out of your bag along with three cassette tapes and a Walkman.

"What songs are those?" Peter asked, nodding towards the cassette tapes.

You turned to meet his eyes as you spoke, "Track 5 of Mr.Fantasy by Traffic, Track 3 of Between the buttons by the Rolling Stones, and Track 3 of Loaded: Re-Loaded by The Velvet Underground."

He smirked, "Specific."

You felt yourself turn slightly red from embarrassment and began to back-track, "Yeah, I, um-"

Peter cut you off, "I like specific."

You let out a sigh of relief as you laughed nervously.

"What about you? I saw you listening to something when I boarded the plane."

"So you were watching me?"

You laughed, "I wasn't watching you. I just saw that you were-"

Again, he interrupted you, "Hey, I get it I'm an attractive person. I mean, I would have a hard time looking away too if I were you."

This guy is something else, you thought to yourself with a laugh.

"Are you deflecting my question from earlier because you're embarrassed by your bad taste in music?" A sly smirk adorned your face causing his to grow.

"Maybe."

You motioned to his Walkman, "Let's see it then." Quickly, he pulls out a few cassette tapes along with headphones.

"Have you listened to Track 2 of Loaded: Re-Loaded?" His eyes were bright with excitement.

"No, I haven't." At your statement, he hooked up his headphones and slid the cassette tape into the Walkman then put one headphone in his ear and, leaning forward, handed you the other. You both had to scoot closer in order to listen at the same time. It was actually... really nice.

Once the song ended you turned towards him, "Not bad, silver."

"Silver?" He chuckled.

"Can you blame me?"

"I can't say that I do, gorgeous."

For a moment you just stared at each other, each of you scanning the others' features. Then, you stuck your hand out to shake his, "I'm Y/N."

Gently taking your hand, he said with a genuine smile, "Nice to meet you, Y/N. I'm Peter."

"You got anymore cassette tapes, Peter?"

"Is that even a question?"

For the rest of the plane trip, the two of you listened to the cassette tapes and watched the clouds go by outside. Occasionally talking about the songs and their artists.
