Alexander's POV:

While I was in my vampiric state, I had a stronger dominion over my powers that were gifted to me and so I would use these to get Desiree out of here. Time to have some fun with these assassins. Of course I knew it was them, only they would be stupid enough to come get us. If they want a fight, well here it is and seeing as they don't fight fair, neither will I.

(A/N: Who remembers Alexander’s powers?)

I focused hard on my powers and pulled them up deep from within me where I had locked them away making sure that I was more focused on my Werewolf side, but now I needed them. Unlocking them from the figurative box I’d had them in took a bit more time then I was hoping, but the assassins hadn’t moved since I’d made the quick decision to dive into the carriage with Desiree. I bet they thought that I’d stand outside and wait for them to come for me, please I may be protective of Desiree, but I’m not stupid to put us both in danger. I am still a Prince and I still know how to fight in battle.

Now, let’s make the outside unbearably cold for them. I focused on the temperature and the weather outside the carriage and just the outside; I made sure that the carriage wasn’t going to be affected. I focused on the temperature dropping massively and very quickly to the point that you could breathe out icicles. I dropped it till it was lower than the Arctic and I could hear the men slightly moan and then to mess with their internal systems even more, I hiked up the heat till it was unbearable to touch their weapons and to the point that the woods were almost on fire. I heard them curse and mutter in annoyance at how it hurt to touch their weapons. Their weapons were useless now as they had been exposed to both extremes of weather and so they were either frozen or their circuits were fried.

Now they had no way of fighting me off expect with the werewolf that they were gifted with. This made me grin evilly as I knew although they had the numbers, I had a powerful advantage. I shifted into a raven and flew out of the carriage without anyone noticing as they were either looking at their blistering hands or trying to pick up their useless weapons. I flew until I got to the guy at the end of the pack and I shifted in the tree before silently dropping behind him. I quickly grabbed his neck and snapped it. I picked up his burning hot throwing knives, but they didn’t bother me because they were caused by my magic. I threw one into the head of the closest assassin to my left and did the same to the right. They both dropped down dead.

“Boss, what was that? What’s going on?” I saw a man ask another that seemed to be making all the decisions. He looked around and had a slight look of worry flash along his face, which made me smile. I shifted into a rat and scurried along till I got to another man. I shifted back and covered his mouth before slitting his throat including his vocal cords, which left him quiet till he died. I shifted back into a rat and went to the next guy before tearing his head off before he knew what was happening to him. I was getting my strength back the more time I spent as a vampire and whatever they had thrown to put me to sleep was almost out of my system.

“We should get out of here. He’s obviously done this and he’s coming for us.” The man told his commanding officer and to be fair, I’d have left too, but then I’d have done my correct research on my enemy before facing them. They obviously don’t know who they are dealing with.

“No, we have failed too many times and we have to finish this.” The head commander growled back, but he had a quiver of worry and was scared that what he was saying wasn’t a good idea and it wasn’t. The man who wanted to leave and the commander were the last two to get. They wouldn’t be able to use their wolf because of the sudden temperature change it went through, which means that their internal systems are fucked essentially.
