Chapter 46: Somber News

                                    

                                          
Mako watched as Hana was laid on the large metal table, Pain forming hand signs as Mako looked to the floor. 
                          
"I shall create a clone, which will be controlled by me, while Konan keeps the jinchuriki safe." Pain said as Mako nodded, messing with his fingers nervously.

Sasuke now knows the truth about Itachi, and knows the truth about Rose Uchiha. How Rose knew all along, but never told him. 
                          
He now wanted revenge against the woman he called his aunt. 

                          
Naruto jumped onto his bed happily, missing the village as he sat up. 
                          
Naruto looked over at the picture at his bed side, smiling at it. 
                          
"It feels like something's missing..." Naruto mumbled as he narrowed his eyes. 
                          
The picture of Hana laughing happily next to him, her once boy short hair and goggles, and Rose standing behind them with an amused face. 
                          
Suddenly, a knock was heard at his window, Kakashi sitting outside. 
                          
"Oh, it's you, Kakashi sensei." Naruto said as Kakashi nodded. 
                          
"Lady hokage has summoned you. Let's go."

                          
Naruto entered Tsunade's office, Sakura, Sai, and Rose all waiting there. 
                          
Rose had evident bags under her eyes, her gaze set upon the floor as Naruto raised an eyebrow. 
                          
"Oh that's it. Hana's missing. Where is she?" Naruto said in realization as Tsunade sucked in a deep breath, Rose biting her lip tightly. 
                          
Chief toad looked up at Naruto. 
                          
"He is Jiraya boy's student?" The toad questioned as Tsunade looked at him. 
                          
"Yes...this is Naruto Uzumaki..." Tsunade said as suddenly, a woman with brown hair spoke up from behind. 
                          
"This is the cousin of Lady Jimi?" The woman asked as Tsunade nodded. 
                          
"Yes..."
                          
"A geezer frog? A lady? What the hell?" Naruto dead panned as Tsunade furrowed her brow. 
                          
"Hey! Watch your mouth, Naruto! This is Lord Fukasaku, one of the two great sages of mount myoboku. And this woman is Miki, one of the council members of Suna. They both came all the way here to speak with you." Tsunade said as the woman and frog nodded. 
                          
"You are, without a doubt, Jiraya boys student. I'm not sure where to begin. But let's see...I suppose the most important thing is...Jiraya boy has died in battle." Fukasaku said as Naruto's eyes went wide, as Miki spoke up. 
                          
"I'm sorry to inform you all...but...we believe Hanabusa Jimi Uzumaki...perished beside Jiraya." Miki said as Sakura's eyes widened, Rose biting her lip as she grabbed Kakashi's hand tightly. 
                          
"Huh? Wh-what are you talking about?" Naruto questioned as tears fell from Sakura's eyes, Rose biting back her own as Tsunade looked deeply into Naruto's eyes. 
                          
"I know this is sudden. I don't blame you if you don't believe us. For quite some time, there were rumors that the leader of the akatsuki was in the hidden rain village. Jiraya-boy went in person to verify the truth of these rumors." Fukasaku said as Naruto gritted his teeth. 
                          
"B-But then how? How did Hana get involved?" Naruto questioned as Tsunade looked down. 
                          
"Hana knew what was coming. She begged me to let her go...so I..." Tsunade trailed off as she pulled out Hana's goggles, setting them on the desk with a solemn face as Naruto's eyes went wider.
