both males were silent, not daring to look at each other, mainly because minho was driving so he couldn't just stare at hyunjin instead. and the younger male was too embarrassed to startup a conversation, especially after what he had seen earlier.

hyunjin reached for the radio in order to turn out on so that it wasn't so quiet, but minho immediately told him to not touch anything. with a roll of his eyes, he pulled his earphones from his pocket, unravelling the cord and plugging it into the bottom of his phone before pressing shuffle on his playlist.

the blonde hummed along to the tune of the conan gray song, starting to softly sing the words when it got to the chorus. "crush culture makes me wanna spill my guts out." the words rolled out of his mouth smoothly, as if he'd practiced it a million times already.

minho was quite contently listening to him; the sound of his voice soothing and calming him down after the ordeal with his ex girlfriend. he had to admit, the boy had a beautiful voice, and minho loved it. he was genuinely sad when he finally pulled up outside his house, because the blonde then removed his earphones and his soft singing ceased.

they both got out of the car simultaneously, minho locking the doors after them and leading hyunjin to the front door. minho's house wasn't large, but it wasn't small either. it looked like a comfortable family home from the outside, and hyunjin still thought this when they went inside.

the walls were all quite dull colours, mostly only having a few pictures framed on them. the furniture was middle class, but it was a nice home.

hyunjin couldn't help but be critical of it, though.

that's how he had been brought up.

"we can go to the dining room to study. it's through the kitchen," minho said, pointing to where the kitchen was, before turning and moving towards the stairs.

"where are you going?" hyunjin asked him before he could ascend them, however. he didn't want to be left alone in his house for too long, just in case a family member decided to say hi.

minho sighed. "i'm just going to say hi to my sister," he said, not even bothering to look back at the younger male. minho then left and walked up the stairs to see his sister, leaving hyunjin to find his own way to the dining room.

he walked quickly through the small kitchen, not failing to notice the small stack of dishes sitting in the sink, and found himself in the dining room. it was well lit, the room being more of a conservatory, so natural light flooded in from all around him, casting his faint shadow over the crisp white tablecloth that laid over the mahogany table.

brushing a hand through his blonde locks, hyunjin pulled one of the chairs out from the table, sitting himself down and pulling his phone out from his pocket to entertain himself. he couldn't ignore how eerily quiet it was throughout the house. he contemplated putting in his earphones again, but he didn't want anyone to creep up on him while he zoned out, especially if minho was still not back.
