CHAPTER 8: DISTRESS

                                    

                                          
CHAEYEON'S POV
"Chaeyeon ah! Rest first I'll just prepare something to eat."
After the intense duel between Chaewon and me, Eunbi Unnie said that we should rest. I obeyed her and went straight to my room. I sat down at my chair and slowly closed my eyes.
The way Chaewon used her magic is really great, she really mastered the arts of her magic, I smiled when I remembered our duel.
Later I heard a faint knock on my door
"Unnie the dinner is ready!" 
I heard Yujin say. I opened the door for her.
"Sorry to disturb you Unnie but Eunbi Unnie said you need to eat first before sleeping." 
I patted her shoulder and put my arm around her.
"Let's go! I'm hungry too"
In the dining room...
I turned my head around when Chaewon arrived. She smiled at me and I did the same. She sat down in her chair and we started having lunch.
As usual, the whole dining area was noisy, led by Choi Yena.
"You fought so hard earlier Chaewon ah! You're scary!" 
said Yena as she waved her fork with chicken.
"Right! It's so dangerous! We should've not let the both of you duel!" 
We just laughed at what Hyewon said.
"Well ... Who's going to duel next?" 
Yena said while grinning at us. 
"Tomi Unnie!" 
We immediately looked at Yujin when she called Hitomi. 
"No way!!!!" 
Yena exclaimed as she looked at Hitomi and Yujin. Hitomi just smiled and raised her hand causing the water in her glass to suddenly rise and move. 
"Are you trying to challenge me Yujin ah!?" 
Hiichan said smiling. 
"Yah! Are you serious? You two again! Yujin, haven't you get your revenge from Hitomi in your last duel?" 
I told them while laughing. They both did not speak and they just stared at each other. 
"I think it is now all set. It's Hiichan versus Yujin. Again!" 
Eunbi Unnie said while looking at the two. 
"For the nth time, they will duel again! Water versus Earth. Sharp versus Gentle. I think it will be exciting!" 
Wonyoung said and everyone smiled because of what she said. 
Hitomi and Yujin always duel together because they want to take revenge on each other. I think Hitomi won the last duel and maybe that's the reason why Yujin challenged her again now.
As we were eating we heard the doorbell ring. We looked at each other. None of us wanted to stand to open the door. Wonyoung just stands up to open the door.
We were all surprised when we see Master Seunggi with Enchantress Sian, Chowon, and Kaeun.
"Master Seunggi! Sian! Kaeun! Chowon!Why are you here?"

THIRD PERSON'S POV
"Take a seat!"
"We will not be here long either. The Council is sending us here to visit you and to know if you're okay." 
With the exception of Yena and Yujin, the Enchantresses gathered in the living room to face their guests. 
"Visit us? As far as I know, the Council will never send you here if nothing strange happens." 
Eunbi said calmly. The two guests looked at her before speaking again. 
"Fine! We have good news and bad news for all of you! What do you want to know first?" 
Enchantress Kaeun said. 
"Good news first!" 
Yena shouted from the kitchen because she had not finished eating with Yujin. 
"You can continue your training without worries because for now you are still safe" 
Chowon said 
"That's it? That's your good news?" 
Yujin got up from her seat and immediately went to the living room. 
"For Now?! So that means the time will come when we will not be safe anymore?! What very nice and great news!" 
Sakura said sarcastically to them while clapping. Some of them laughed except Eunbi, Chaeyeon, and their four guests. 
"How long will we be safe? After 30 minutes? 1 hour? 1 Day? We were just told to train and prepare. We didn't even know who's our enemy!" 
Minju frustratingly said. Everyone is staring at her because this is the first time they see her shout like that. 
"Stop it! That is why you need to prepare more because we do not know who is our enemy this time!" 
Master Seunggi stood up looked at the twelve Enchantress. Everything became quiet. Hyewon, who had been quiet for a while, suddenly stood up and entered her room without saying goodbye. 
"Hyewon Unnie! Where are ..." 
"Let her." 
Eunbi held Yuri's arm when she tried to stop Hyewon... 
"So what's the bad news?"
A few seconds of silence prevailed throughout the place until Sian spoke.
"To all of you, I'm sorry! There's a group of Dark Shadows that attacked us!" 
Eunbi looked at Sian in surprise when she apologized to her. 
"Why are you saying sorry? What the heck is happening?" 
"High Council Master..." 
She looked down and could not continue what she was about to say. Everyone went quiet. 
Eunbi got on her knees because of what she heard so Chaeyeon and Nako immediately approached her.
Everyone was crying quietly, their happy smiles and laughter had suddenly disappeared. They do not expect the news they will hear but they need to be stronger for each other.
Yena, on the other hand, quietly looked down while sitting at the dining chair. She already stopped eating and silently crying. They all looked at the leader who is now shedding her tears quietly. 
On the other hand, 
Hyewon who is inside her room is sitting quietly and closing her eyes. She heard what everyone was talking about. She stood up and peeked out her window, she looked up at the sky and her tears flowed. 
"You can now rest in peace in the Deities Paradise ...."
