Last night I didn't get too much sleep mostly because I was thinking about Xavier's words. I mean I need a job if I think about staying here, and Xavier needs a babysitter. Something in his story yesterday made me feel like he really needs help.
Also not believing that a guy like Xavier would give me a job I decided to search for him on the net. And it ended up that everything that he said was true. There was everything about him but his family was something that I didn't find. Supposedly, they love privacy.
Guys even call me yesterday when I arrived in my room to see how I'm doing. On top of that, they ask a lot of job questions and how the interview went. So I told them everything about the interview but I skipped Xavier's part... kinda.
Flashback
"... and then he told me that they already hire someone before. " I take a deep breath because I was speaking fast I one breath.
"So you didn't get a job?" Dani asked with a frown pulling on his face. "Oh shit, so you are coming back th-?" Angelo muttered "Yeah, I think too that it's the best if you come back here!" Daniel cut Angelo off.
"Tesoro, if you want I can make some calls I know a couple of people over there." Matteo said as he looked at Angelo giving him a curt nod. On which I saw Angelo pull his phone out to make a call and that's when I lost it.
"Angelo don't you dare make that call, I swear to fucking God that you're gonna regret it. That shit goes for you too, Matteo. Neither one of you let me finish, you all just start to bombard me with questions." I could see regret in their eyes as they apologized for their behavior and I also made them promise me that they will call no one unless I told them otherwise.
But because of all pressure from the side of guys, my stay here, my wish to help Xavier, I choose to lie a little just to make everyone happy.
"Actually after I finished my interview I went to a coffee shop and there I stumbled into..." looking at them I know if I said anything about Xavier I'm dead, so I chose easier way out " .. into this woman with kids, and you know how much I love kids. Anyway, we somehow got to conversion about jobs. And guess what... I got a job as a babysitter." I said while smiling letting a lie easily slip past my lips.
End of flashback
Well let's say that they weren't really happy, but after I told them that that's my decision where I will work, they stayed quiet. And after I told them about salary and about how much I want to help, they agreed and let me be.
So here I am now with a phone in my hands thinking about the best way to tell Xavier that I accept a job offer.
'Think, think... wow when I need to overthink something I could do it in heartbeat, but when I need to send a text then my brain froze..' I thought to myself while searching my brain for any kind of response.
