Getting out of the cab, and grabbing my bag while the driver who is extremely generous and offered to help me get my stuff from the car. After taking the bag I turned and walked into a hotel.

I know that I didn't book a five-star hotel so inside of it isn't breathtaking but it was nice and comfy anyway. Upon arriving at a front desk elderly woman in her fifties greeted me.

"Good evening."
"Hello, ma'am."
"How can I help you, dear?" A woman asked while looking at me warmly and giving me soft smile.

I smiled back and said that I have already booked a room. Hearing that she asked me for my name and not long after finding my reservation. She handed me a key and explained the way to get to my room.

"You can take the elevator over there," she said pointing toward the elevator "and go to the third floor then go left down the hallway and you will find your room number on the door." I thanked her but asked are there stairs because I'm not comfortable with elevators, so she pointed me to the stairs.

"Enjoy your stay, dear." She said with a warm smile after I took keys from her. With a smile of my own, I thanked her again and bid my goodbyes to her.

When we finally climbed stairs to the third floor and I found my room I thanked the driver too and pay him. Biding or goodbyes he left and I entered the room.

It was not too much, neither big neither small. The room looked pretty cozy it had a light shade of caramel color walls. In the middle of the room was queen size bed which was white with a caramel blanket over it. Behind the bed stood a big window which overlooked the city.

The room had a door at the left which I assume lead to the bathroom. Closing the door behind me I went to check those doors and finding the bathroom, it was small and in the same shades just like the rest of the room.

Looking at a watch I saw that it's a little over 6 pm. Feeling sticky I decided to take a shower grabbing my things which consisted of short shorts and a tank top, I headed into the bathroom.

After much needed long hot shower which relaxed my sore muscles a little bit, I went to bed. For the first time in I don't even know how long I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.

. . .

The next day I woke up much later than I expected it was almost noon and I had a job interview at 12:30 pm.

Getting up fast I went to my suitcase and grabbed my black fitted jeans, black shirt, gray suit jacket and paired that with black ankle-high boots.

After getting ready I brush my hair and put on a little bit of make-up. Heading towards the door I stop to look do I have everything that I need inside the bag. After checking to see that nothing's missing I walk out.

Exiting the hotel and catching a cab wasn't that hard, so after sitting inside I gave the driver the address of the hotel I'm heading to.

Well, one thing I learned from this ride is that New York is a busy city, we were driving so painfully slow because of the traffic.

. . .

Finally, we got to the hotel, I paid the driver and exited heading towards the entrance. And let me tell you, the hotel is magnificent, from outside and inside it's huge. From outside it's covered in shining glass from which you can't see inside, but when you walk inside it's simply breathtaking.

The whole hotel lobby is open, it has a high ceiling which gives the impression that there is more room. In the middle of the lobby are big, beautiful, rounded stairs which are covered with red carpet all the way up. It's furnished with black leather couches that surround little glass tables.

After I stopped drooling over this place I turned to the left and headed toward the reception desk where I was greeted by a pretty red hair girl not much older than me.

"Hello, how can I help you?" She said as she gives me what I assume is her best fake smile.
"Um.. hello I'm here for the job interview. They said that I'm scheduled at 12:30 but if I by any chance come earlier to report to reception." I said smiling at her.

She looked at the watch "Oh, okay then give me just a moment to call a boss." She said while holding a phone to make a call.

Not long after, maybe a couple of seconds she turned to me and told me directions to get to the office. I made my way to the office and stopped in front of the door.

I could feel my hands shaking a little so I shook them. Taking deep breaths to calm my nerves and racing heart, I finally knocked on the door. After a muffled 'come in' I walked in.

"Hello." I greeted as I come closer to the desk.
"Hello, miss. I'm Mr. Brook." A man in his mid-forties said.
"Antea Silva. It's nice to meet you."
"The pleasure is my," he said with a smile, "our receptionist told me that you are here for a job interview, correct?"
"Yes."

"Okay, for which position did you apply? And can you give me your resume." he smiled while saying.
"Um.. just a second..." after finding my resume in the bag I handed it to Mr. Brook "..here you go and I applied to the position of a translator." I said with a slight smile.

Mr. Brook looked at me and his smile slightly flattened "For the translator position? Are you sure?" He said with confusion on his face.
"Yes, I'm sure. I can show you an email in which it's written." I said with a slight frown.

"No, no it's ok. But unfortunately, I must say that position for a translator was filled yesterday. I'm very sorry for wasting your time." He said with slight pity in his eyes as he handed me back my resume without even opening it.

"Oh..." disappointment is a light word for what I feel now, a lump formed in my throat but I shove it back. With a heavy sigh I got up "...well.. okay then... umm, I'm gonna leave then." I said with the best fake smile I could give while trying to hide hurt.
"It was nice to meet you miss Silva." He said as I was exiting the office. I nodded saying goodbye and going out.

. . .

After I exited the hotel I started to walk down the sidewalk to a coffee shop I saw when I was in the cab.

I was so out of it, thinking 'What should I do now? Should I go back home? Should I try to find a job somewhere else here? Maybe some company, they always need someone to translate their documents? Hell maybe I could try and apply for a waitress -...
