     AS soon as Pope said that, Kai shut him down, "I'll talk to him. Can you guys give us a little privacy?" He asked and Pope sighed, nodding before he walked away with Kie following. Kai walks closer to the hot tub, "JJ, what the fuck? You could've paid for restitution..." He says.
                          
JJ sighed, "I wanted to get something nice for you guys... After all I've put you guys through." He said and Kai sighed, getting into the hot tub. JJ stood up and the dark haired boy was taken back by the bruises on the boy's body. "JJ..." He said softly, staring. "No, no... please, don't..." JJ said as he stared down at his boyfriend.
                          
But it was too late, Kai's eyes were glossy and he looked up at JJ in the eyes. "Is that why you... bought all of this?" He looked all around and JJ sighed, shaking his head softly. "No, no, it was for you guys, okay? Can't you see? It was for my friends... no, no, my family. Okay?" JJ said as he stepped closer to Kai.
                          
Kai sighed softly before pulling JJ into a hug, closing his eyes. JJ hugged back tightly, breaking down into tears. "You're so strong, JJ... I'm sorry I didn't stick up for you. I'm sorry I didn't stick by your side." He whispered to the blond, brushing his fingers through his messy hair. "No, I'm sorry, baby. I'm sorry I'm such a fuck up, I'm sorry I'm so fucking shitty..." JJ cried and Kai shakes his head. 
                          
"No... you're not a fuck up... maybe a bit of a mess like any of us, but you're not a fuck up. And you're not shitty. You're the best person in my life right now... and I love you." He said as he pulled back a bit from their hug before leaning in and attaching his lips to JJ's gently. The blond kissed back, pulling Kai closer to him by his arms around his waist. Kai pulled back and JJ put his face into Kai's neck. "Let's go to bed, okay? Let's get some rest... I'll tell them I've got it handled and we'll go to bed." Kai whispered to JJ who nods.
                          
Kai walks over to where Kie and Pope had gotten to work, "hey... um, JJ and I are going to bed. I got it... Don't worry about it or anything, he's fine now." He tells them and Pope just nods.
                          
"Goodnight then..." He says and Kai walks away, over to JJ who was patting himself dry with a towel and putting on his shoes. Kai walked over, grabbing his boyfriend's hand gently and leading him inside the Château. In one of the rooms, Kai laid with JJ being the little spoons in his arms, tightly wrapped around his shoulders as JJ stared at the wall. "I love you..." JJ said before he gently kissed the back Kai's hand and Kai smiled softly.
                          
"I love you too." Kai whispered and JJ moved to flip over, raising his hands to either side of Kai's face. He leans in, pecking Kai's cheek gently and sighing as he looked down. "I showed him the money... he seemed proud, he told me to grab a beer, but then he said that there was a sale at Gruffy's..." He said and sighed, rubbing his eyes.
                          
"I really let myself believe at first, you know... I felt happy because he was proud... and then he just... he told me I owe him a lot. And then... I-I just... I took it at first, but I started fighting back and I... almost killed him." He looked at Kai to see the dark haired boy was listening the whole time, nodding his head slowly for JJ to continue.
                          
"I was gonna... I wanted to, you know?" He said and Kai nods, raising his head to wipe away the tear that slipped down JJ's cheek. "But you're not him... You're not your dad, JJ." He whispered and JJ looked at him in the eyes. 
                          
"Okay? You understand? No matter what everyone thinks, no matter what everyone says... You're not your dad just because you're his son. You're JJ. You're funny, wonderful... and always make my days a hundred times better. And precisely my only smoking buddy..." He says and JJ chuckles, raising his hand to cup it over the one that was now holding on his cheek gently.
                          
"You're always here to help... talk me through shit and comfort me." JJ whispered, sighing as he felt extremely grateful for his boyfriend. Kai brings their faces together, pressing JJ's forehead against his own. "And I always will be... I promise." He said as he smiled, closing his eyes.
                          
JJ stared at the boy, staring at his lashes and his nose and how cute he looked whenever he smiled. JJ smiled faintly before reaching up and stroking Kai's cheekbone with his thumb before he brought the both of them into a kiss. Kai kissed back, bringing his hands down to JJ's waist, pulling away to glance down, sighing when he saw the bruises again and JJ just moved closer, blocking his view as he now rested his head onto Kai's chest.
                          
Kai put his arms around JJ's shoulders, closing his eyes and brushing his fingers through the hair at the back of JJ's head. He pressed a small kiss to the top of JJ's head. "I always think about how it will be after we get the gold..." JJ says before looking up at Kai with a small smile. "You and I will get a house together, okay? And... we'll be happy, living the Kook live. It's what I want to give you... all I've ever wanted was to make you happy." He says and Kai just sighed softly.
                          
"Well, then that's fufilled already, because I'm always the happiest whenever I'm with you, JJ..." He said as he brushed his fingers through JJ's hair some more and the blond closed his eyes. "You being happy makes me happy..." JJ says and Kai smiled at that right away, sighing. "You're so cheesy, I love you." He says and JJ smiles.
