"THENA WHERE ARE YOU LOVE? ARE YOU OKAY?" keri shouted upon walking into the girls apartment, dropping her purse on the kitchen counter, her keys clattering as they hit the marble counter top.
the seavey family had, had a spare key to athena's place for a fair while now. it was actually daniels idea so that if anything ever happened to her or she needed them in anyway they could easily get to her.
anna of course was the first to agree, even though she'd already spoken to athena about the two of them having keys for each others places already.
after that tyler and christian agreed pretty quickly, not too bothered about the whole idea and then collectively keri and jeff agreed because the rest of their children had.
"she's in here!" keri heard a voice shout just through in the lounge as she quickened her pace and walked through, her heart dropping at the sight.
athena had her head in between her legs as she shook slightly, rocking herself back and forth. her hands tangled in her hair as she pulled at it.
the silver haired girl looked up momentarily, meeting eyes with keri before looking back down, the mother noticing very clear tear streaks of mascara and her quivering lip.
athenas younger sister freya had managed to get out to la so she could come see her sister. despite being younger she always tried to act like the oldest sibling.
she was awkwardly perched on the couch, bouncing her leg up and down as she weighed down her options of what she could do and or say to make her sister feel better.
she decided her best bet was to text anna, assuming she'd know what was wrong but apparently she didn't. anna's idea was to then send keri over seeing as she was busy with work.
while that was happening freya had managed to piece together a rough idea that athena was upset from a mix of missing daniel, and the other boys of course, all the hate comments, being worried about her mom etc and she'd just worked everything up and now she was exploding.
"oh thena." keri sighed walking over to the girl and dropping onto the floor next to her, pulling her into a hug. something inside athena must have clicked because as soon as she felt the presence next to her pull her into their arms she started hysterically sobbing again, finding it a struggle to breathe as she desperately clung onto keri.
