Y/N's POV:

"Mysterio?" Peter and I said at the same time in awe. Mr. Beck looked back at us, confused.

"What?"

"Doesn't matter. It's just what our friends have been calling you," Peter said. Beck smiled.

"Well you guys can call me Quentin," he said, holding out his hand for us to shake.

"You handled yourself well out there. I saw what you did with the tower. We could use someone like you on my world," he said, talking to Peter.

"Thanks," Peter said softly.

"I'm sorry, your world?" I asked.

"Mr. Beck is from Earth. Just not ours," he explained. My eyes widened with shock.

"There are multiple realities. This is Earth dimension 616. Im from Earth 833," he said, calmly. Peter and I looked at each other, as we could tell both of our sciency brains were exploding.

"I'm sorry, you're saying there's a multiverse?" Peter asked. Mr. Beck nodded.

"Cause I thought that was just theoretical. That completely changes how we understand the initial singularity," Peter started.

"We're talking about an internal inflation system and how does that even work with all the quantum-," I kept going.

"It's insane..." Peter said, as we both snapped out of it and noticed everyone's lost faces.

"S-sorry. It's really cool," I said, turning back to Mr. Beck.

"Don't ever apologize for being the smartest one in the room. This one is Stark's daughter? I see it," he said to me. I smiled a bit. In that moment, I could have sworn I had seen him before. Briefly. But, that's impossible.

Right?

Quentin starts to explain to Peter and I all about 'the elementals', which are 4 versions of one of the monsters we saw that day. Water, earth, fire, and air; fire being the deadliest. It has even wiped out Quentin's earth, and destroyed his family. It was coming to Prague in a 48 hours.

"We have one mission. To kill it," Fury said to us, bluntly.

"And you're coming with us," he told us.

"I'm sorry, did you say Prague?" Peter asked, and I looked at him.

"Mr. Fury, this all seems like big time, you know, huge superhero kind of stuff. And I mean, I'm just a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man sir," he said, and I couldn't help but smile a bit, the way he described himself.

"What about you, Ms. Stark?" Fury turned to me.

"...well me? I haven't done anything superhero like. I'm still not even sure why I was brought here. But, I'm willing to help in any way I can. Like you said, if I'm anything like my father, hopefully I could be a real asset," I say, as I felt a bit excited.

"Wait, does my dad even know about this? He never allowed me to become an Avenger, and I doubt he will change his mind now," I say, as my world comes crashing down, knowing my dad would never let me do this.

"What? All of a sudden you need your dad's permission to do anything?" Fury says, and I'm taken aback. That's always how it has been. I'm not an adult. He's my dad. But...I did want to do this. And maybe, I could prove to him that I could really be an Avenger.

"No. I don't," I said, and Peter whipped his head around to me, a bit shocked.

"Well Parker, that leaves you," Fury said, turning to Peter.

"I'm sorry. But, there has got to be someone else you can use. What about Thor?" Peter asked.

"Off-world."

"Okay um. Doctor Strange?"

"Unavailable."

"Captain Marvel?"

"Don't invoke her name."

As much as I wanted to do this, I knew I wasn't going to if Peter wasn't there with me. I wasn't even sure why he didn't want to help fight the elementals.

"Sir, look. I really wanna help, I do. But if my aunt finds out I left my class trip, she's gonna kill me. And if I'm seen like this in Europe, after the Washington monument, my whole class will figure out who I am and then-- and then the whole world will figure out who I am, then I'm done," Peter explains, and I never realized. I didn't know he felt this strongly about his secret identity. I guess in a way, he was right. This was too risky for him.

Therefore, too risky for me.

"I can't go without Peter. I don't know the first thing about being a hero," I said quietly.

"Okay. I understand," Fury said. Peter and I looked at him in shock.

"I'm sorry, what?" Peter said.

"Why don't you get back before your teachers miss you and become suspicious. Dimitri, take them back to the hotel please," Fury said.

"Thank you Mr. Fury. And good luck," I said, looking to Quentin.

"See ya kids," he said, as we walked out together.
