They said, moving on is easy. But it is not. It breaks you into small pieces and makes you feel that no one will ever love you again.

That pain, surprisingly, helped me achieve who I am today. After I graduated, I pursued my dream: to be a writer.

I wanted to publish my own book. But it wasn't easy. I had to work as a content writer at a marketing agency to earn money though I continued to post my novels online. I read somewhere that most novelists start there.

It was fun to be honest. I met new people, had new friends, but I never dated anyone. I don't think I can ever say the words "I love you" and be confident that when they say it back, it will last forever.

Because that's what Chanyeol taught me. There was no such thing as forever.

All these feelings helped me write the perfect book. It was a year later when a publisher came to me and asked me if I'm interested to sell it to them. Before you get mad at me, the publisher and I had a good contract.

He placed my name in the book and we shared the sales. Surprisingly, that publisher whose name was Kyungsoo, became my close friend.

Kyungsoo was the opposite of Chanyeol. He had the same height as me and he had this petite body. He had this typical nerd aura as he was quiet and a total introvert. I never thought I'd be close to him but for some weird reasons, we jived.

He stayed with me during those drunk nights when I had to tell him endless stories about Chanyeol and I. By now, he basically memorized everything.

Chanyeol made me fear of everybody, even my friends. I thought that if I open myself, people would eventually get tired. But Kyungsoo stayed. He was there through my best and worst days. He was there when the book became a hit.

And today, he was here to tell me the big news.

"Okay. Are you ready?" Kyungsoo asks as he shows me the letter.

I smiled. A huge company visited Kyungsoo's office the other day to ask if we would like to send an application for my book to be a movie.

"I am. Just give it to me"

Kyungsoo opened the letter with excitement in his face.

"OH MY GOD. YOU GOT IT! THEY WILL MAKE YOUR BOOK A MOVIE!!!"

I stood up and screamed as loud as I can and in no time, both of us were jumping around like idiots. We didn't care if anyone could hear us from the other room. It was not every day that you have this chance. I haven't seen Kyungsoo this way but this is a big thing for his company.

Kyungsoo is in-love with books. When he was a kid, he used to read a lot of books during his spare time and kids before didn't appreciate his hobbies. With this, he was usually left alone. Maybe that was one of the reasons we understood each other.

He needed someone who can accept him and I needed a friend who would stay with me no matter what.

"I'm so happy for you, Baek" He smiled at me. Kyungsoo rarely smiles and when he does, it immediately lightens the room. But he doesn't know that. I feel that if I complimented him, he would feel shy and never smile ever again.

"Thanks, Kyung." I smiled back.

"Okay. So according to the letter, you need to go to the company to meet the CEO." His smile faded as he continued reading the letter. His expression turned into a sour one, making me curious.

"Why?" I walked up to him to see the letter. I squirted my eyes to see the name of the CEO.

"The CEO.." Kyungsoo started as he looked at me, "It's a man named Park Chanyeol."
