INTO THE FOREST- PART ONE

                                    

                                          
Mika's POV.



                          
I'm at the province right now forcing my self liking this place when in fact I really don't. I'm a city girl you know, being away from my friends and my boyfriend is just beyond my imagination. But here I am exploring this place with tall trees, dry leaves all over. I don't know either why my parents love to be here.
                          
I decided to go to our backyard where there is a forest, I walk towards the middle of the forest because of my curiosity hits me. This is my first time entering a forest I don't know what to expect nor to see that's why I'm here exploring it.
                          
When suddenly I hear something somewhere, or someone making noise. I'm not scared because I'm one of the women who have a tough heart. I have guts I can say, I went near and look for that noise when I see someone. A man sitting down under a tree, I thought it's something serious or scary or somehow makes me shout or what, but no.
                          
He is just sitting and looking above the trees, it seems like he's out of his mind. I went near him more. "H-hi," I said and I waved my hand to him but instead of answering me he just staring at me as if recognizing me, if I'm one of the people he knows before. "Uhm.. are you lost?" I asked.
                          
"N-no." Finally, he replied. "Ummhh... I'm Mika, and you are?" I offer my hand, he accepts it and shakes our hands. "J-je, J-je.." he can't continue what he was supposed to say, he doesn't know what his name? "J-je what?" He looks at me again.
                          
"J-je... s-sorry I can't remember." I was confused to the highest level, who the hell in this earth will forget their names? "Ok let's settle for J, let's say your name is J for now. Until you remember who you really are." He's weird but I find him attractive with his green eyes. His aura is so contagious I can't remove my eyes on him, how is that even possible. "Where do you live?"
                          
I sat beside him but there's a safe distance between us, I don't know this guy at all so I better keep my distance from him. He pointed out somewhere, I see a huge house where his finger pointing at. He's rich, no wonder because of his skin tone sobrang puti niya if snow white has a guy version it's definitely him.
                          
"W-why are you here?" I can't stop myself from asking him, seconds later parang sasagot na sana siya but he got confused again. "S-sorry, what is it?" Bingi ba siya? I'm just here beside him why he can't hear me? "I said why are you here?"
                          
"I don't know why either it feels like my feet brought me here for no reason." For no reason? What apathetic.
                          
"Do I know you?" I look at him, "huh? Definitely no." I responded. "I mean before." And in that said, curves form at my forehead. "What do you mean? this is the first time we meet." He just nods at me, he's so weird and there's something creepy about this guy. I don't know what it is I can't figure it out to myself.
                          
"Mika!!!" I hear my mom's voice shouting. I look at him and he's looking at me also, "Uhm, I have to go." I stood up and walked away from him I look behind again and his eyes were fixated at my back. I smiled and he does, my jaw nearly dropped because of that smile. What the hell? I have a boyfriend for a fuck sake, I turn around and walk faster. I hold my chest inside of it is an organ who keeps on beating so fast, why are you pounding like that?
                          
"Where did you go?" I went back to my self from thinking too deep, I see my mom standing at the back of the door. "I'm just looking for a signal there."
                          
"Let's go lunch is ready." No hesitations she accepts my reason although she's always been protective to me. Hindi siya nakokontento sa mga explanations ko sa kanya feel niya kasi I always tell lies so.

I wake up in the morning because the roosters who keeps on shouting outside.
                          
"Tuktulaok! tuktolaok!"
                          
Fuck! It's so annoying and irritating. I don't have a choice but to stand up and get my towel go to the bathroom and clean myself. While I'm inside my bathroom brushing my teeth the man who I just met yesterday suddenly popped in my head. There's a small window inside of this bathroom I look to it outside then I see the forest.
                          
The forest, there's so much beauty on it the ambiance, the voice of nature, it's like music to my ears. I wouldn't ask him if he keeps on going in this forest, with that beauty? Hindi ako magsasawang puntahan yan. After I did my rituals I fix my bed and went downstairs. I see my parents eating, "hey sweetie, let's have breakfast." Sus, si dad tiyaka lang nagyaya kung kailan kumakain na. So I sat down one of the chairs in the dining table, we're eating midway when mom spoke. "Have you fix all your stuff?" My eyes grew bigger, "why mom are we going back to manila?"
                          
"No, Mika I mean you should've fixed all of it because we need to stay here for good 3 months." My heart almost pops out of my chest, "w-what?!" I shout out of their faces. "Mika, lower down your voice." There's so much tension in the atmosphere around us. "But mom why? I have to go back as soon as possible 'cause all of my friends are there. We need to hang out pa before Christmas." I pouted.
                          
"No sweetie tayo naman ang magha-hang out, it's our family time." I look to my dad with disbelief, "exactly." Mom's said, portraying what dad said. I lost my appetite, I immediately stood up. "I'm full." Agad akong umakyat sa room ko, they didn't even fucking ask me if I want to be here.
                          
Buti pa bumalik nalang sila sa mga trabaho nila sanay naman nako na wala sila sa paligid ko.
