i gasped, he must've changed his number.
"i-i'm so sorry." i stammered before hanging up the phone.
how embarrassing! i just cried and vented to some random guy i don't even know.
i rubbed my temples with the palms of my hands, wiping away the tears that had fallen for nothing.
i deleted austin's, now, old number off my phone, sighing as i leaned back into the couch, my eyes pinned on the silver screen.
"i'm back!" brie beamed as she walked through the door. "i got your lollipops and a few more snacks because why not." she laughed.
she handed me a lollipop as she took out the items she had bought, "hey, are you okay?"
"huh? oh yeah, i'm fine." no i was not.
"yerin..."
"i swear brie-"
"look at your eyes!" she exclaimed. "what happened?"
i sighed, shaking my head, "he will never understand...how much he broke me..."
she clicked her tongue as her expression fell, pulling me into a hug, "what he did was a dick move. it isn't your fault, you were the nicest girlfriend he ever had and he couldn't appreciate that."
"but i loved him brie..." i cried.
"i know you did," she pulled away, wiping my tears with her thumbs. "now stop the water works, a piece of shit like him doesn't deserve your tears. nor does he deserve your perfect heart."
i smiled. she smiled back before opening a bag of chips, bringing her legs up and crossing them.
my phone vibrated next to me, i almost choked on a chip when i saw austin's old number appear on the screen.
