Chapter 7

                                    

                                          
I woke up to feeling strong arms holding me so close . I look at Erik who is still asleep . The feeling of being curled up in his arms with our fingers intertwined and the soft feel of his breath on my neck can never be put into words . This is where I belong . I never want to be anywhere else . I slowly caressed his cheeks and watch him still sleeping . 
                          
Then I felt a pain on my stomach . " oh no , it came again . " I jumped out of the bed and ran to the bathroom and vomit . " what's going on ? " I heard Erik knock on the door . " Christine , are you alright ? Please let me see you " I open the door and I felt like fainting . Luckily his strong arms caught me . I feel so weak . He cup my face " Let's go to the doctor alright " I nodded my head and went to get ready . 
                          
" Miss Christine Daee ! " the nurse called out my name . Erik turn and held out his hand like a gentleman he always is . We walk in to the Doctors office . " What can I do for you today " the doctor asked . " Well I've been throwing up and I do not seem to know why . " She look at Erik and look back at me . " Alright well I may need you to lie down . " The doctor check on me . I felt so nervous and curious . She look at me with a smile on her face 
" Congratulation , you are pregnant . " 
" I am ? " " Yes , three weeks along " I turn to look at Erik , his eyes widen . Then he smiled and peck my lip . I smile from ear to ear when he gave me that kiss . I was actually nervous thinking he would run out and leave me but he stayed and that kiss he gave me just gave me all the comfort I need . " I'll need to see you once per month for check up . Do you have any question ? " the doctor ask . I was too excited to think of any so I shake my head . " Well then , thank you . See you next time " 
                          
Erik's POV 
                          
" Thank you " we both said to the doctor . 
                          
We went back to our hotel . Christine sat down on the bed while I pace around the room , obviously worried about something . 
" Erik , what is it ? Why are you pacing around the room ? " Christine asked with a concern look on her face . 
I look at her " I'm scared . What if .. what if the child looks like me ? Has my disfigurement ? I cannot bear to let him or her suffer the way I did . I do not want anyone to suffer the way I did .... ". I sat down beside her 
and cover my face with my hand as I cried . 
                          
She wrapped her arms around me and pulled me closer to her . " Erik .. look at me . " i shake my head and cried even more . " look at me . " she said firmly yet softly . I look up and face her . She smile and wiped my tears away .
" I'll love him or her no matter what . I do not care if they have your face , I'll still love them and I'll love you . " 
my heart melted as I heard those words . 
" Christine .. " I put my head on her shoulder as I sob . 
" And no , they won't suffer the way you suffered . They have us . We will give them the love they deserve . We'll sing to them every night , we'll whisper I love you to them every night , kiss their forehead every night . " 
then she cupped her hands onto my face and force me to look into her eyes . 
                          
" I promise you , I'll love them with all my heart . And don't forget , I love you too no matter what , now and always . " I could not believe what I heard and I pulled her towards me , hugging her tightly . " I love you Christine . I love you ... "  I thought to myself what did I ever do to deserve an angel like her ? I always thought god hates me and gave me this face but even after everything I've done because of my face , God gave me hope . God sent down Christine to me , an angel . 
                          
Christine's POV 
                          
Oh Erik , how could he think that way ? Of course I'll love them no matter what and I won't let them suffer the way he did . He pulled away from the hug . 
                          
" Let's go celebrate ! What do you want to eat ?" I look up to Erik and kiss him . 
" Something sweet . " He look at me with a surprise face " Someone already has her cravings " he laughed . I slap him on his arm while laughing too " Well ... I am with a child " I said . He looks so happy and confident after I assure him everything is going to be alright . I couldn't help but keep on smiling . 
                          
He took me to a nearby cafe and bought me some pastries . " Here , a blueberry scone for you and strawberry milkshake . I know you love them " he said . I look up at him and nodded my head continuously and smiled like a child who just got her dessert " thank you dear . " 
He nod his head . 
                          
" Wait ! let me " I was about to feed myself when he suddenly took the fork out of my hand and feed me . Then he took out something out of his jacket and hand me a rose with black ribbon wrap around it . Just like how he always used to gave me . " You deserve this . I love you . I promise to take care and love you and the child with all of my heart ." and he kissed my forehead . My heart melted when he suddenly does that . These small gestures really be making me weak to my knees . 
                          
" When are we getting married ? " I asked him out of sudden . " When we already find a house to live in of course . " he replied " Then lets find them , today . " I said with courage . 
He looks at me and were actually shock but then he agrees . 
                          
After we done eating , we walk around the neighbourhood to familiarise ourselves with the place . " There ! " I said as we passed by a house that's for sale . Lucky for us the agent were still there . " Hello ! What can I do for you ? " the agent said . " Yes , hello . We would like to see this house " Erik replied . He led us in and with one look , I already love the house . It has a huge living room with a grand piano in the middle . I swear I saw Erik grinning when he saw the piano . The house is simple . It's a one storey house and it has two bedrooms and a kitchen . We walk further in to find a backyard with a swimming pool in it . It's not the sea but sure it's still water , it's peaceful . I turn to Erik and nodded my head with a smile on my face . He laughed and turn to the agent . " We'll take it . " I just love how we never gave a second thought and just went with it .
