"We've got 25 rifles with twenty rounds each, give or take. Roughly five hundred rounds of ammo." Bellamy said from my left. "While you two were gone we made some improvements." He addressed Finn and Clarke. "Thanks to Raven, gully's mined."
"Partially mined, thanks to Murphy."
"Still, it's the main route in. If the grounders use it, we'll know. Other than the gate, that's where I'm going to be." I interjected, getting off the topic of Murphy.
"She also built grenades." Bellamy grabbed the hand grenade by his side.
"It's not many." Clarke observed.
"Again. Thank you, Murphy." I set my hands on the hilts of my daggers and took a breath in.
"We'll make them count." Bellamy gave me a nod as we looked at each other. "If the grounders get through the front gate—"
"Which they won't." I interrupted tapping the daggers by my side with a devilish smile.
"If they get through, guns and grenades should force them back." Clarke nodded along with Bellamy's words.
"And then?" Bellamy and I both looked to Clarke.
"Then we close the door and pray." Raven spoke up from behind us.
"And pray what?" Clarke asked. "That the ship keeps them out? Because it won't."
"Then let's not let them get through the gate." Bellamy instructed looking to me.
"Oh I plan on it." I knew the rest of them were nervous, but this is the kinda stuff I thrive on. My adrenaline was already pumping through my veins. And me staying positive and realistic is going to help with morals. I was the only one confident in my abilities, and I planned on spreading it.
"All foxholes, listen up." Bellamy brought his walkie to his mouth. "Keep your eyes and ears open. Inflict casualties, as many as possible. You hold them off long enough to make them turn back. That's the plan."
"That's always your plan. Like the bomb on the bridge." Finn shot to Bellamy.
"Damn right. You got a better idea?" I looked at Clarke to see a concentrated look on her face. I followed her gaze downwards to the dropship figurine on the map.
"Clarke?" She snapped her eyes up to mine. "You thinking what I'm thinking?" I flicked my eyes to the dropship and back to hers as she gave me a smile and a nod.
"What are you talking about?" Bellamy asked as he returned to an actual conversation.
"You said there's fuel in those rockets, right? Enough to build 100 bombs." Clarke asked Raven. As we turned to look at the zero-g mechanic.
"I also said we have no gunpowder left." Raven shot back.
"We don't want to build bombs." I looked at Clarke. "We want to blast off." Raven looked at the two of us and caught on to what we were saying.
"Draw them in close. Fire the rockets. A ring of fire." I smirked at Raven and turned to Bellamy.
"Barbecued grounders." He gave me a proud smirk. "I like it." I gave him a wink and turned back to Raven.
"Will it work?" Finn asked Raven. All of the pressure now on the zero-g mechanic.
"The wiring's a mess down there, but yeah. You give me enough time, I'll cook them real good." I smirked and nodded.
