"where the hell do you think you are going?" he yelled pulling me back bruising my arm.

                          
"away from you! all you ever do is boss me around and use me for show in front of your friends. you never really cared. so i am done!" i said trying to get away again. 
                          
"we're done, when i say we're done you stupid bitch" he said slapping me.
                          
the boys of easy company was returning from the showers as they heard the commotion of their fellow paratrooper who was waiting for the showers to empty.
                          
"is that y/n? what's up with her and mike?" liebgott asked turning to bill.
                          
"no idea, but it don't or look too good" he worried.
                          
i kept yelling and trying to push mike away from me but he kept pulling me back and hitting me. 
                          
my lips were bleeding, a black eye was forming, felt a couple broken ribs, and had hand and finger marks all over my arms and face.
                          
"guys! help me tie her up and bring her to the barn in the forest!!" mike yelled as his friends from fox came running out of the woods trying to hold me down.
                          
easy company saw and heard what they were trying to do to me so dropped all of their belonging and rushed to my aid
                          
"HEY DON'T TOUCH HER!!" toye yelled as he made the first punch to mark's face.
                          
i was pulled out of mike's and a few others grips and thrown into webster's arms and johnny came over to help carry me away from the scene.
                          
everything was a blur. all i could hear was the yelling from easy and punches being thrown.
                          
"what's going on!" winter came out running with lipton, nixion, and sobel.
                          
they looked over at me and saw me in terrible condition. 
                          
"doc roe, take her to the medic station" winter said breaking up the fight.
                          
"what is the meaning of this!?" sobel yelling getting everyone to stand at attention.
                          
bull stood forward with his hands bruised and bloody.
                          
"sir, these men were abusing l/n. we were walking out of the showers and heard that they were planning to kidknapp her and sexually abuse her, then all of a sudden she started screaming and fighting them off and fox came and ambushed."
                          
the men of easy could see the fumes of winters, nixon, and lipton, but sobel, his face stayed the same like he didn't even care. 
                          
"we will take them to the head quarters and figure out their punishments" sobel said turning around.
                          
toye start walking towards sobel, wanting to kill him but johnny and bill pulled him back as lipton stood in front of him.
                          
"we will make sure those guys don't come back. now don't start something you know you know you can't finish, understand?" lipton looking at toye dead serious.
                          
toye nodded has him and the guys left to head towards the barraks

i woke up with a painful headache. i opened my eyes, seeing a white ceiling with bright lights on.
                          
i looked over to see web sitting in a chair sleeping. 
                          
what happened?  i thought. 
                          
am i dead? or am i really alive?
                          
"web?" i managed to croak out.
                          
his eyes immediately shot open and he move over to the side of the bed leaning close to me.
                          
"hey, how you doing?" he asked creasing my hand.
                          
"sore, tired, upset," i said looking up at his ocean blue eyes, "what happened to mike and the other guys from fox?" 
                          
"oh, don't you worry about them. they have been taken care of," nixion said coming into the room i was put in, "how you doing kid?"
                          
"fine" i said weakly.
                          
"you just get some rest now, okay? don't want to worry the boys anymore than you've already had" he said walking out.
                          
nixion went to tell the others i was awake, before nixion could tell them to stay away to leave me in peace, they all rushed in the room asking how i was, if anything hurt, what they asked most about was what happened between me and mike that led everything to this.
                          
cl. sink came in telling the boys to get and to leave me alone. he told me that the boys have been transferred out of the military and would be going to prison for attempting kidnapping and murdering. 
                          
i lost my breath at that last part. i knew they wanted to hurt me, but i didn't know it would've led to killing.
                          
after everyone was gone, web had stayed behind.
                          
"i'm so sorry" i sniffed.
                          
he looked at me with the most confusing look.
                          
"what in the hell are you sorry for? none of this was your fault. you were the victim of all of this. he was controlling and abusive to you. he ordered you around like a house wife and he never showed love to you. never say your sorry about this situation ever again!" he said defensively.
                          
i stared at him in shock. i wasn't scared of him raising his voice at me because he was right, but more shocked because he was someone who truly cared for me.
                          
i took his hand and pulled him down until our lips touched.
                          
the move shocked him before returning the favor.
                          
we pulled away looking at each other.
                          
"i never knew you cared so much. it means a lot" i said smiling with tears in my eyes.
                          
"i can tell it meant a lot" he joked.
                          
i punched his arm before he climbed onto the bed i was laying on and held me protectively.  

                          
he had never made me feel more safe in my life.
                          
mike was the past. web was now my future.
