Can't Be?

                                    

                                          
The ninja followed the group to a village resting near a frozen lake that they walked across. The village itself looked how you might expect it only it had a giant ice wall surrounding it with ice watch towers that stood guard as people over looked the area. As they neared it there was some shouting about the hunting group returning and they opened some gates. The ninja were let in and taken through the village as villagers gawked and stared as children poked out from their huts to stare despite the shushing they got from the elder villagers. 
                          
They reached the biggest building that had a fire in it. A nice kind looking elderly woman sat by the fire and gestured for them to come closer. "Come come warm yourselves by the hearth fire," she said and they each eagerly sat down to warm up by the fire. "Thank you so much. What is this place?" Lloyd asks looking around. "We are the people of the Great Lake the only known tribe left I am the leader Sorla," Sorla introduces. "Why are you the only tribe left?" Jay asks. Sorla's smile turns to a sad frown. "It is a sad tale. This realm used to be cold, but it was bearable we could all make fires to warm our huts. Then long ago the ice emperor came and took over our realm. One by one the villages fell to his domain until only we remained. It was a day that is referred to as a legend when it was only about a year and a few months ago," Sorla tells the story. "What happened?" Cole asks. "A stranger came and met the ice samurai at the edge of the village. He took them all out then made our Great Wall to keep out any more of the ice samurai. None have dared to cross our paths again," Sorla finishes her smile returning. "What happened to that stranger?" Cole asks. "He is still here. He is the only one who still knows how to make a fire. He should be here soon to get introduced, but first where are you from?" Sorla asked. 
                          
"We're looking for my brother Zane and Kai they were sent to this realm a week ago and we came to bring them back home," Echo explains. Sorla's eyes glint with a mischievous recognition, but she just nods. "Let the hearth fire tell it's tale first let's look for Zane," Sorla threw something into the fire and it roared. "Now tell me his name and where he is from?" Sorla asks. "Zane," Echo repeats. "From Ninjago," Nya finishes. Sorla waves her hands over the fire. "Oh great hearth fire that provides warmth show us where Zane from Ninjago is," The fire turned green and the image created was of a frozen palace. The fire returns to normal and Sorla frowns. "I am sorry for your loss," she said. The ninja did a double take. "What do you mean?" Echo asks. "He is at the ice emperor's palace he is impossible to get back," Sorla said. "But we need to try," Jay said. "Not even our great protector would go against the emperor himself. He is skilled, but has always said he has been waiting for the right time," Sorla said. 
                          
"Well then that time is now," Lloyd said. "But what about Kai where is he?" Cole asks. Sorla looked at him and smiled. "Some answers and nearer than you think," she said with a small giggle. "Is she related to Wu?" Jay asks sarcastically. There was a knock at the door accompanied by a voice. "Sorla? They said they found some travellers on the hunt today?" The voice calls. "Yes come in," Sorla calls. The door opens and the figure standing in the doorway has everyone except Sorla frozen. 
                          
Cole got up moving closer taking the person in. Tears in his eyes he asks. "Kai?" 
                          
Kai looked a little older and had a Y shaped scar covering his left eye, but Cole could not care less. Kai still had spiked hair, bright amber eyes, and wore a red version of the clothing the villagers wore. Kai was standing shell shocked as he looked everyone over. "No it can't be," he mutters. Nya got up as well moving closer to stand by Cole. "Kai your okay," she said barely above a whisper. "Firebird!" Cole exclaims throwing his arms around Kai hugging him tightly so does Nya quickly followed by Jay and Lloyd. "Kai FSM I thought you were dead!" Cole exclaims. "Don't do that to us you jerk," Jay said. "I thought I had lost you," Nya said. Kai was still just staring at them all in shock blinking rapidly as if he did not believe what was happening. When they let go they noticed his expression. "Kai are you okay?" Lloyd asks quietly. "No this I it's been," he looked at them. "How are you still young?" Kai asks looking at them and they were confused. "Kai it's only been a week and we have missed you. Lilly, Oscar, and Onyx miss you so much," Cole said.
